Chapter 6 : The Unknown Sanctuary

703 Words
--- I woke up to the sweet melody of birds chirping, a stark contrast to the darkness I had endured. As I opened my eyes, I found myself in an unfamiliar bedroom, surrounded by soft, cream-colored walls and a plush carpet that felt like silk beneath my feet. I sat up, rubbing my temples, trying to remember how I got there. The last thing I remembered was being trapped in the dark, dank room with Namjoon's sinister presence haunting me. But this room was different. It was bright, airy, and filled with the sweet scent of flowers. I looked down at my clothes and saw that I was wearing a soft, white nightgown, not the tattered clothes I had on before. I threw off the covers and got out of bed, my legs feeling weak and unsteady. I stumbled to the window and pushed it open, letting in a flood of sunlight and the chirping of birds. As I looked out the window, I saw a beautiful garden, filled with vibrant flowers and towering trees. It was a serene oasis, a far cry from the darkness I had endured. But as I turned back to the room, I saw a figure standing in the corner, watching me. It was Namjoon, his eyes still gleaming with an unsettling intensity. "Welcome to your new home," he said, his voice low and menacing. "You'll be staying here...with me...forever." I knew then that I was trapped in a new nightmare, one that seemed deceptively beautiful but was still shrouded in darkness and despair. And I knew I had to find a way to escape, before it was too late. My stomach growled, reminding me that I hadn't eaten in what felt like an eternity. I stumbled towards the door, hoping to find a way out, but it was locked. I was trapped. Namjoon chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound. "You must be hungry," he said, his eyes glinting with sadistic pleasure. "I'll bring you some food. But don't think of trying to escape. You'll never leave this place alive." He turned and left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I was trapped, starved, and at the mercy of a monster. And I knew I had to find a way to survive, no matter what lay ahead. A few minutes later, he returned with a tray of food. It was a lavish spread, complete with champagne and caviar. There were fresh fruits, pastries, and a steaming hot omelette, cooked to perfection. I devoured the food, trying to ignore the fact that I was eating at the mercy of my captor. The taste was exquisite, a far cry from the bland rations I had endured before. As I ate, Namjoon watched me, his eyes never leaving mine. I could feel his gaze like a weight, pressing down on me. I knew I had to be careful, had to play along until I could find a way to escape. But for now, I was trapped, forced to endure the twisted hospitality of my tormentor. And I knew that the nightmare was far from over. I pushed the plate away, my appetite fading as the reality of my situation settled in. I felt like a prisoner, trapped in a gilded cage. The beauty of the room and the lavish food did little to mask the danger lurking beneath the surface. Namjoon's eyes followed my every movement, calculating and cold, as if he was waiting for me to break. "You should rest," he said, his tone soft but laced with hidden intent. "You'll need your strength for what comes next." The cryptic nature of his words left me uneasy, and a chill ran through me despite the warmth of the room. I lay back on the bed, pretending to relax, but my mind raced. There had to be a way out. I refused to believe that this was my fate, to be at the mercy of a man who thrived on control and cruelty. But as his footsteps echoed through the hallway, fading into the distance, I realized the only person who could save me was myself. And I would need to be smarter, faster, and stronger than ever before. ---
