The pianist, Whitney, slowly began to play an old familiar hymn, “Trust and Obey,” and as Pastor Jerry spoke, Macey’s mind slipped away again, this time to her grandmother’s knee and her words of wisdom, “Trust in the Lord, Macey girl. He can see a path where there seems to be none. When we see only shadows and doubt, He sees light and a sure path.”
