*Harper* The morning felt almost normal. I walked through the university gates with a coffee in hand, the sun warming my skin, chatter echoing from the different areas. Students moved around me like nothing had changed, with their heads down, earbuds in, the rhythm of college life humming on like it hadn't changed. But I had. I tried to focus in class; I took notes, answered a few questions, even managed to laugh softly at a professor's dry joke about contracts and the devil. The irony wasn't lost on me.
