We were riding in silence for what seemed like an eternity, but in reality was probably only a few hours, when I spotted a small lake beside the road. "Selestra? Let us stop to rest." She pulled her mare to a stop and turned it around. "The horses are thirsty," I said, and then quickly dismounted my black stallion and headed toward the lake. Eying the clear water, my horse hurried straight for it. "So am I," I thought she said behind me, but I wasn't sure. She followed and was about to dismount, when I hurried to help her. Her foot slipped in the stirrup a bit, causing her to fall back and I caught her in my arms. Without thinking, I held her a bit too long, enjoying the feel of this beautiful woman within my arms.
