Yesha sat alone in her dimly lit apartment, the weight of recent events pressing heavily on her chest. The revelations about Suno and Roched had shattered her trust, leaving her adrift in a sea of uncertainty.
A sudden knock on her door jolted her from her thoughts. Hesitant, she approached and opened it to find Suno standing there, his expression a mix of determination and remorse.
“Yesha, we need to talk,” he implored, his voice tinged with desperation.
She crossed her arms, her gaze wary. “Talk? After everything that’s happened?”
Suno took a deep breath, stepping inside as she moved aside. “I know I’ve hurt you, and I can’t undo the past. But there’s something you need to know.”
Before she could respond, another knock echoed through the room. Frowning, Yesha opened the door to reveal Roched, his eyes dark with intensity.
“I see I’m not the only one seeking your audience tonight,” he remarked, casting a cold glance at Suno.
Yesha’s frustration boiled over. “Both of you, sit down. I’m tired of the secrets and the lies.”
The two men complied, tension crackling in the air between them.
“Start talking,” Yesha demanded, her voice firm. “And this time, I want the truth.”
Suno leaned forward, his gaze earnest. “Yesha, Roched and I… we have a history. It’s complicated.”
Roched scoffed, crossing his arms. “Complicated? That’s one way to put it.”
Suno shot him a warning look before continuing. “Years ago, we were involved in a situation that went horribly wrong. People got hurt, and we’ve been at odds ever since.”
Yesha’s eyes narrowed. “What kind of situation?”
Roched sighed, his demeanor softening slightly. “It was a mission. We were supposed to protect someone, but we failed. The fallout was… devastating.”
Suno nodded, guilt etched on his face. “We’ve been blaming each other ever since. And now, it’s affecting you.”
Yesha absorbed their words, her heart aching. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Roched met her gaze, his voice gentle. “We didn’t want to drag you into our mess.”
Suno reached out, his hand hovering near hers. “But keeping you in the dark was a mistake. I’m sorry, Yesha.”
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked between them. “I don’t know if I can trust either of you.”
Roched’s expression softened. “We understand. But we’re willing to do whatever it takes to make things right.”
Suno nodded in agreement. “Please, give us a chance to prove ourselves.”
Yesha took a shaky breath, the weight of their words settling over her. “I need time to think.”
The two men exchanged a glance before standing.
“Take all the time you need,” Suno said softly.
“We’ll be here when you’re ready,” Roched added.
As they left, Yesha sank onto the couch, her mind a whirlwind of emotions. The path ahead was uncertain, but one thing was clear: the truth had finally been unveiled, and there was no turning back.
