“It’s been a while since we’ve done this,” Yesha remarked, sipping her drink.
“Too long,” Roched agreed, his eyes reflecting the ambient light.
Suno smiled, but there was a tension in his posture that Yesha couldn’t ignore.
“Suno, you’ve been quiet tonight,” Yesha observed, her brow furrowing with concern. “Is everything okay?”
He hesitated, glancing at Roched before responding. “There’s something I need to share with both of you.”
Roched leaned forward, his expression serious. “What is it?”
Suno took a deep breath, his hands trembling slightly. “I’ve been doing a lot of soul-searching, especially after everything that’s happened. And I’ve come to realize something about myself.”
Yesha’s heart raced, a mix of anticipation and dread swirling within her. “Go on,” she urged gently.
“I’ve always cared deeply for both of you,” Suno began, his voice wavering. “But recently, I’ve recognized that my feelings for Roched go beyond friendship.”
A stunned silence enveloped the trio. Yesha’s mind raced, processing the unexpected revelation.
“Suno…” Roched’s voice was barely above a whisper, his eyes wide with surprise.
“I understand if this changes things,” Suno continued, his gaze fixed on the table. “But I couldn’t keep this from you any longer.”
Yesha reached out, placing a comforting hand on Suno’s. “Thank you for being honest with us.”
