Chapter 4: Ruin Me, Save Me

351 Words
Yesha’s body tensed as the air between them thickened, charged with something dangerous—something that threatened to consume her whole. Suno’s grip on her wrist was firm, his warmth searing into her skin, while Roched’s smirk held a sharpness that sent a thrill down her spine. This was it. The moment that would shatter everything. “Let go,” Roched’s voice was deceptively calm, but the command in it was undeniable. Suno didn’t move. Neither did Yesha. “She’s not yours,” Suno murmured, his gaze never leaving her face. Roched chuckled, but there was no amusement in his eyes. “She’s not yours either.” Yesha’s heart pounded. The weight of their possessiveness was suffocating, intoxicating. She could feel Roched’s gaze trailing over her, the heat of it making her knees weak. “Tell him to let go, Yesha,” Roched whispered, stepping closer, so close she could feel his breath against her cheek. “Or tell me to.” Her lips parted, but the words wouldn’t come. Suno exhaled, shaking his head. “You enjoy this, don’t you?” His voice was quiet, but there was something raw beneath it. “Being caught between us. Knowing we’ll tear each other apart for you.” Her stomach clenched. Was that true? Roched’s fingers brushed against hers, slow, deliberate. “It excites you, doesn’t it?” Yesha sucked in a shaky breath. “Stop.” Roched smirked. “Liar.” Suno’s grip on her wrist tightened—just for a second—before he let go. Her breath hitched. He was leaving. No. “Suno—” He didn’t stop. Roched watched, a knowing look in his eyes. “And just like that, he walks away.” Yesha swallowed hard, her chest tight. Roched’s fingers curled under her chin, tilting her face toward his. His gaze burned into hers, dark and unreadable. “Now, sweetheart,” he murmured, his lips inches from hers, “what will you do?” Because Suno might have walked away— But Roched never would. And neither would the fire he had set inside her.
