Yesha’s world had become a labyrinth of confusion and betrayal. The confrontation between Roched and Suno left her reeling, unsure of who to trust. Seeking solace, she retreated to her favorite spot—a secluded bench in the campus garden, surrounded by blooming crimson lilies.
As she sat, lost in thought, the sound of approaching footsteps pulled her from her reverie. Looking up, she saw Suno, his expression a mix of concern and determination.
“Yesha,” he began softly, taking a tentative step closer. “We need to talk.”
She studied him, searching for any hint of deceit. “About what, Suno? More secrets? More lies?”
He winced at her words, running a hand through his hair. “I know you’re hurt. But Roched is manipulating you. He’s not who he pretends to be.”
A bitter laugh escaped her lips. “And you are? You both have been hiding things from me.”
Suno’s eyes pleaded with her. “I was trying to protect you.”
Before Yesha could respond, another voice cut through the tension. “Protect her? Or control her?”
Roched emerged from the shadows, his gaze fixed on Suno. “You’re just upset because she’s starting to see the real you.”
Suno’s fists clenched at his sides. “This isn’t about me, Roched. It’s about you using her to get back at me.”
Roched smirked, taking a step closer. “Maybe it’s about time she made her own choices.”
Yesha stood abruptly, her voice trembling with emotion. “Enough! Both of you!”
The men fell silent, their eyes locked onto hers.
“I can’t keep doing this,” she continued, tears welling up. “I need time to think. Alone.”
Suno reached out, his voice soft. “Yesha, please—”
She shook her head, stepping back. “No. I need space.”
With that, she turned and walked away, leaving both men standing in the garden, the weight of their actions hanging heavily in the air.
