I looked at the vampire Queen holding mother Maia's hand.
"What are you going to do to her!?" I shouted. "Let her go!"
Mother Thana smiled wickedly. I stared at her feeling helpless. I looked back at Selene and she's still lying on the floor in her pool of blood. I turned my gaze back at the two that are standing atop the second floor of the arena.
"Ciro," says mother Maia with her shaking body and worried expression.
"I'll come for you, mother!" I said to her. I pulled an arrow from my back and shot it to the vampire Queen but as expected she was able to dodge it. I winced at the pain I felt from my wounds, holding it with my hand.
