Chapter Eleven
The shuttle vibrated as it sank into the depths of the ocean. Daniel buckled himself in the cockpit. He began pressing buttons and operating the joystick. The shuttle was rated for underwater missions, but it was for emergency only. Daniel hadn’t actually operated the shuttle under water before. He checked the oxygen levels and noticed he could survive a few days inside the shuttle.
Propellers kicked on from the rear of the shuttle. Daniel swung the joystick around. The front windows on the shuttle were small, and the dark ocean was impossible to see more than a few inches in front of him. He punched away at several more buttons until the headlights flashed on.
