Chapter Thirteen Daniel strolled into the bar and sat, scratching his chin. He looked at the dust covering the wooden barstools. Wood. Most people wouldn't think that a spaceship would have wooden barstools and a wooden bar. Everything was Modern Age steel, stainless, and fancy, but Daniel didn’t like that, and he requested that his bar have a more rustic look. Now, most of the bar was in fact metal and bolts. But even though it was, it had a rustic wood appearance. Wood wasn't easy to find in space. It wasn't like they had, you know, space trees, just growing on asteroids. And so, the amount of actual wood was scarce on spacecrafts. But Daniel did request that the bar itself be wood. And so it was. It was stained a deep mahogany. And it was bolted to the aluminum shelves inside the bar.
