Chapter Fourteen
Daniel awoke. His eyes were hazy. He was not sure where he was. He blinked a few times until the blur went away and clarity once again reigned. Daniel realized he sat in his captain's chair, but he didn't remember how he got there. He stretched, burped, then yawned. As everything came into focus, he realized that everyone on the bridge was looking at him.
“Good morning, sunshine,” Shawn said.
“Did you get any sleep last night?” Zach asked.
Daniel’s eyes widened as he looked around and he saw everybody.
“Don't worry about them,” Ben said, his right-hand man.
“Thank you, Ben, you're a good person. And the rest of you, suck,” Daniel said. “What is our ETA for arrival at the next planet?”
