Chapter Twenty
Before entering the pyramid, Phillip pulled a small rectangular device from his pocket and began typing in numbers. A faint green light emanated from it that swept across the pyramid.
“What’s that?” Daniel asked.
“It’s an area scanner.”
Daniel furrowed his eyebrows. “We’ve already tried to scan the pyramids with the shuttle and couldn’t penetrate the exterior walls.”
“It scans easier when you have an opening.” Phillip gestured to the door on the pyramid. “Also, how outdated are your shuttle’s scanners?”
Daniel frowned. “I don’t know. Why don’t you tell me, Chief Engineer?”
Phillip grinned. “They’re still the stock version. They haven’t been upgraded since you’ve taken over the Ghost.”
Daniel’s eyes widened. “That’s been like seven years.”
