Chapter Twenty-Four
Ice. Jackets. Margaritas. Well, Daniel was without the margaritas. But everything else was true. They’d arrived back to the ice planet. He was nervous to return, as well as many of the others. Ned strolled over to the shuttle looking like Rambo. He had more weapons than Daniel knew that they had.
“Did you bring enough?” Daniel asked.
“I’m not taking any chances this time. Between giant squids and millipedes, I’m so done with being unprepared.”
“And what exactly do you plan to do with that flamethrower?”
“What? It’s cold down there. Perhaps I can warm a few things up.”
“I can barely see you behind all those guns. And what is the rocket launcher for?”
“Spiders,” Ned said.
