The person in the lustrous black Lamborghini was none other than...
Artemis!!!
“Wow!!, Artemis has such a cool sports car”
“It looks so cool!”
“Yeah, Artemis, can we take a pic with it?!”
“No!” came the cold voice of Artemis as she walked past them
“Why are you late, you’ve wasted a lot of time” said Lucas
“I just came a few minutes late, why are you barking?” Artemis said coldly
Lucas’s face darkened while Delilah’s face turned ashen “How did this waste of space get here! I locked her room, so how the hell did she get out!!” Delilah said with gritted teeth
Amidst all the chatter, Artemis glanced at Delilah and showed a cold and cunning smile
Delilah shuddered from fear “Did she know what I did? Impossible!, I made sure to check when she was asleep, how did she know?!”
Artemis looked indifferent, “did she really think that by playing these childish antics she will stop her from coming to the competition, as a former mercenary she could know the direction of which a silent sniper rifle will fire, so listening to footsteps was like listening to a blender being operated in a graveyard”
The room was locked and she couldn’t knock it down, it will attract attention
So her only option was to jump off from her window, she walked to the entrance of the house, opened Delilah’s door with a hairpin, picked up her phone and cracked the password with her hacking skills and went to the campus group chats and added herself, most information about school competitions or other miscellaneous activities were said in the group chats and this racetrack competition was no exception with that she found out where the competition was being held.

Delilah gritted her teeth and followed the rest of her classmates into the racetrack
Lucas changed into a red racing suit which matched his red Ferrari sports car making him look flamboyant
He shifted his gaze to Artemis who was wearing a black racing suit with her helmet on making her look like a dark knight looking down on all living creatures giving her an imposing aura.
Lucas was momentarily stunned and so were his classmates
“Wow!! Artemis looks so cool!”
“Yeah she’s like those dark knights in novels”
“Am I the only one noticing her imposing aura? It makes me a little frightened”
“Yeah, you’re not the only one I feel literal chills right now”
All these whispers were naturally heard by Delilah who was seething with jealousy as Lucas looked at Artemis dazed, her nails dug into her palms “Why does she have to get all the attention, just showing off!”
Artemis and Lucas both entered their cars, Lucas revved his engine and at the sound of the referee’s whistle, the fiery red Ferrari shot out as Lucas hit the accelerator leaving the Black Lamborghini in the dust making the classmates sneer
“I knew Artemis couldn’t beat Lucas”
“Does she even know how to change gears?!”
“Hahaha! I was expecting her to be left behind not knowing that she won’t be able to even start the car!”
It’s really funny to think that these were the same people who were praising Artemis’s driving skills
Suddenly in a split second,with the speed of a horse Artemis’s car shot out like a lightning bolt two times faster than Lucas’s car
“Damn! Can a car move that fast, and it's still going faster!!!”
“This is giving Fast and furious!!!”
“Guys Artemis is ahead of Lucas!”
“What!!”
“It has only been a minute when she left the starting line
On the racetrack Artemis was at the side of Lucas’s car overtaking him by a few inches. With a slight push on the accelerator Artemis was in front of Lucas’s car.
Whenever he wanted to overtake her to another lane she will follow, and this happened a few times
“Artemis is ahead of Lucas, he’s trying to overtake but Artemis isn’t allowing him she’s teasing him!” said a classmate
It was like a game of cat and mouse, Lucas's face turned red with anger still trying to overtake her
After teasing Lucas for a while she finished the first lap, stepped on the brake and made a beautiful drift making tire marks on the racetrack. Lucas was left behind; he angrily slammed the accelerator crazily trying to ram into Artemis’ car
“What is Lucas doing?”
“Is he crazy! Is he trying to kill Artemis?!”
Meanwhile the victim that was supposed to be ran over by Lucas’ car was leisurely driving like it was a joy ride
She saw Lucas speeding to her car, he was trying to run her over!
Artemis smiled lightly, her red lips making a beautiful arc
“This is getting more interesting!”
She slowed down the car a bit reducing the distance between the two of them
“Is she crazy? They’re going to crash!”
When Lucas was a meter close to her she accelerated, made a drift, hitting the guardrail spinning in the air as she landed steadily on the ground.
“Oh my god!”
“How the hell did she do that!!”
“Is this witchcraft?!!”
“It was like the car was flying!”
They were close to the finish line of the second lap with Lucas trailing behind Artemis’ car
“How is she going to reach the finish line?!”
“I think Lucas wants to ram into her car again”
“She’ll end up in the hospital!”
“Oh I can’t look!”
The atmosphere was tense with everyone on the edge of their and then they saw something that made their soul leave their bodies---
