Chapter 47 Lucas Bennett stood in the darkness of the tunnel. Rainwater dripped from his torn jacket. Bruises covered one side of his face. His eyes were bloodshot. Wild. Unstable. And the gun in his hand was pointed directly at Damian Hayes. For several seconds, nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Sophia looked like she had forgotten how to breathe. "Lucas..." Her voice barely carried through the tunnel. Lucas didn't even look at her. His entire focus remained on Damian. Interesting. Very interesting.
