Chapter 9

1159 Words
Eli and Hanna are going to search for Enzo even though it's already night. Eli asks Hanna where she got her power to fly. Hanna replied that it came from the small stone that represented the power of air, that came from the fairy named Lana. They walk towards the hill of Mara, until they reach the hill, and then they stop for a while to take a rest. The scorpions are going to the hills of Mara. They are creeping on the grass of the hills. They saw Eli and Hanna sitting on the grass. They are moving slowly and quietly towards them. Tarim ordered his followers not to make any noise, so that Eli and Hanna wouldn't notice them. The fireflies were coming towards Hanna and Eli. Their lights made the scorpions visible. Hanna said to Eli to be ready, because the huge scorpions were going towards them. Eli said that the scorpions have a poisonous stinger at the end of their tails, so they must avoid their stinger. The scorpions were going to attack them, Eli said back-to-back. Hanna did not know what he meant. Eli said to face in the opposite directions. The scorpions attack them. The green and blue lights shine from the hill of Mara. Eli and Hanna use their powers to fight the huge scorpions, but they are so hard and too many. Hanna uses her power to fly and she attacks all the scorpions using the power of air. Hanna formed a gale, and all of the scorpions fell from the hill. But there is one left, the king of scorpions, Tarim. He is going to kill Eli. Hanna can't fight him because he is in the back of Eli. She doesn't want to hurt Eli again. Tarim said that if Hanna won't give up, he would kill Eli, so she got down from the air and went towards them. But Tarim is still going to kill Eli. Eli is thinking about what to do. Until he remembered to use the power of nature. He made Tarim become a grass. Hanna asked Eli if he was okay. He replied that he was not okay, and he fell down on the grass. Hanna does not know what to do. She can't live without Eli. She touches his chest to see if he's still alive. She feels his heartbeat, so she knows that Eli is just out of consciousness. Hanna saw that there was a tiny and deep wound on Eli's shoulder. A beautiful maiden dressed in fresh and green grass suddenly appeared several feet from Hanna and Eli. The nymph introduces herself. She says that she is Mara, the owner of the hill. She asked Hanna about what happened to Eli. Hanna answered that Eli was stung by a huge scorpion. The nymph said that she could help them. Hanna asked her how. Mara opened her arm and a shining, transparent stone appeared in her palm. Hanna asked her what it was. She said that it was the power of water. Hanna asked her how it could help them. Mara said that she would need it to remove the venom of Tarim from Eli's blood. Hanna put the small stone in Mara's palm and she said thank you. And the nymph of the hill suddenly disappeared. Hanna asked for the power of water to remove the venom in Eli's blood. But Eli is still out of consciousness, so Hanna will wait until he wakes up. She let him lie on the grass on the hill of Mara. Hanna lay down on the grass beside Eli. She was watching the three moons in the sky. The whole fantasyland is always bright, even at night, because the three moons never refuse to shine. Hanna can't sleep because she's too worried about Eli. She wishes to become a moon that will never refuse to shine, even in the worst days of her life. The sun comes up. It's a new day dawning. Eli was already awake. He saw Hanna was still sleeping beside him. Eli does not feel any pain anymore, and he has become stronger. He stood up and stretched his body, just like he was doing a warm up. He asked the power of nature to give him food to eat, because he was so hungry. Hanna woke up when the sunlight began to show. She was happy because when she woke up, the first man that she saw was Eli. Eli saw Hanna was already awake, so he invited her to join them to eat their breakfast. Hanna asked Eli if he was okay. Eli answered that he was very well. He felt like he was so light. Hanna is happy for Eli, and she goes beside Eli and they eat their breakfast. Hanna wanted to give the power of water to Eli, because she knew that Eli deserved to have it, since he risked his life to fight the king of scorpions. But Eli does not accept the small and transparent stone, because for him he doesn't need that power, and it is better if Hanna be the one to have it, because for him, she is better at using it. Eli asked Hanna what they would do next, if they still have enemies or if they could go back to the world of humans. Hanna knows that as long as the god of darkness is still alive, he will never let them go back to their homes. So Hanna told Eli that they must wait, because she also didn't know what might happen to them. Hanna and Eli continued walking, even though they did not know where to go, because they did not know where the palace of the god of darkness was. As they were walking, they reached the edge of the land. They can see nothing but water that's surrounding them. Hanna said that maybe they had reached the edge of the land. Eli agreed with her. Eli asked Hanna if she thought that there was another land at the end of the sea. Hanna is thinking the same, because they are in the land of fantasy and anything is possible to happen. Eli asked Hanna if they were thinking the same thing. Hanna replied that she didn't know. Eli said that he wanted to know if there was really a land at the end of the sea. Hanna asked him how to know it. Eli said that they could know it if they used the power of water. Hanna said okay. And they asked the power of water to bring them to the end of the sea. The water let them walk on it, and they walked and walked, but they did not reach the end. But they did not stop walking. They were really determined to reach the end. Because they are thinking that maybe they can go back to their home if they reach it.
