Friday, 24th February 2017 0603hrs I have not taken a single drop of tea or any hot beverages and this girl named Sue Hunter is crapping me out early in the morning. Damn! Can my day be any worse than this as I awoke with a start and sat at the side of my bed as I listened to her rant on and on for being a VIP member in this game and wanted to look for a waitressing job? As far as I know, I do not think Chapati & Karak employs female employees and this is one great benefit for me. I would not have to listen to her rant all day at work and here too! “Hey, Sue. Since you are getting £2,500 a week, so I don’t think you need to find any job right? I am sure your 3-month subscription has something that allows you to earn more than that and you could be off to a good start. Why don’t you talk to the system and the system would be able to advise you on what to do next.” “Yeah, I am getting 2,500 a week and I really do not have to find work at all. All I need to do is to get some books and then I would be able to improve myself and then join a band or even have my own band!” “By the way, what do you mean by talking to my system? Do you think I’ve gone mad like you or something early in the morning, do you? The system is right before me and I definitely am sure the system does not talk back to me at all!” At this juncture, Sue the system sounded in my head, ”Matthew, this girl’s system is just an informative one that she could access right before her and it does nothing like what I am doing for you now. They are free to log in and log off to play in this game and whatever you do for them would not have an impact for you. They basically do not breathe the same air as you in this world. They are players but more like NPC. But you are much different, you practically LIVE in this MMORPG world!” “I am like an NPC but more like a player myself too, am I right?” I telepathically discussed this with Sue the system while the other Sue was still babbling on what she wanted to do for the rest of the day and would be back to this shelter by 6 pm or something. “Hey, Matthew. I would be going out for job interviews since I have a whole of listings here. I am looking for a job that pays the highest and have the least working hours like 4 hours per day! See ya around, Matthew.” “Oh yeah, I had already sent a friend request, so you’d better accept it so I would be able to share some juicy news about this game, alright? See you at 6 pm. Don’t wait up since if I land a job, I would just beep you later on.” Sue Hunter then went over to the breakfast table and chowed down on the breakfast without even freshening up at all. Maybe it is different if you are playing the game and you are living in the game! “Sue, let me wash up first, prepare for breakfast before heading out to the Skoob Books once again. This Sue Hunter had just given me a rude awakening at 6 am and since I had awakened, it would be best for me to proceed on. Alright?” “Understood, Matthew. I would be on standby and would be advising you when you need anything.” With that, I proceeded with my tasks at hand, and after performing some housekeeping, I left for Skoob Books which would be about 15 mins walk and train and walk again after embarking at Russell Square Station. “Good morning, Mr Edwards! I hope I am not disturbing you at all right now!” Mr Edwards was surprised and looked up at the time and nodded his head approvingly. “Morning to you, young man. Right, let me put the kettle to a boil while you can start slowly to sift through the rubble of books and sort the ones that you would be placing them on the floor first. I liked the way you work, it is very systematic.” “None of my associates would be able to do that like yourself, all they could do was to look for bargains when there are book lovers out there sells their books or they call to the customers who had rented the books since it would be due in a few days time et cetera.” “They are doing more footwork and administrative work rather than manual work such as this as it needs the most concentration one possesses!” Another long-winded lecture from Mr Edwards early in the morning. It seems that these people love to talk with me and once they talk, they can never stop! “Alright, Mr Edwards. I would be burying my whole self into the pile of books then. It is only after 7 am and I would rather start now since I would have more than 3 hours I could help you clear the books away!” I replied and managed to break free and dived directly into the pile of books on the floor and started to sort out the books in their genre first before I stressed myself listening to all the chatter and not getting any work done! Before long, I saw the tell-tale sign of another Skill Book among the pile and I scrambled to get the book before the rest of the books on top avalanches down on the book that had exposed itself after hours of rummaging and sorting. I reached out and pulled the Skills Book with its gold trimmings at the perimeter of the cover as well as the spine. It was a bit old and the words seemed to have faded through the years. It was a Skills Book on Basic Makeup. BASIC MAKEUP? I could sell this book to Sue Hunter and make £2,500! Maybe if she wants to haggle with the price, I could even give her a 10-20% discount! Hahaha…! Just as I was thinking of selling the book once I had acquired it from Mr Edwards, Skoob’s owner, Sue sounded once more in my head and prevented me from selling it. “Don’t even think about it, Matthew. Pass the book to Mr Edwards and let him evaluate along with the Book of Manipulation that he had not given us the answer whether the book is under his records or not.” “Sure thing, Sue. But what could this book do? It does not even improve me musically! Furthermore, there should be someone who does our makeup before we go on stage live before the audiences. The same goes for going live on TV or even the radio station. Even our audiences could not see us, but a pat here and there of makeup by the professionals could make a difference. We can't be putting on the makeup on our own, right?” “Well, Matthew. What you said is true. There is no need for you to do your own makeup since there is a makeup personnel that would be doing all those for you. Do you realise that this makeup personnel are not trained at all and don’t even have t**t on the Basic Make-Up skills at all!” “But you are different, Matthew! If you acquire this book, you do your own make up that would look super fabulous off and on-screen and you would even earn additional points for Social Skills and Charisma when fans come over to you and ask for your autograph or something. Think about it, Matthew. This book is considered as in between rare and legendary. Get the skill book, Matthew! GET THAT BOOK…!!!” Sue the System is the one that is overly excited for me to get that book so I think the book had been added into my list of Basic Skills that I need to attain. This method is way too ssslllooowww!!! I wish I have the money and could get all the books that I wanted! I handed the Skill Book of Makeup to Mr Edwards soon after before I leave the book store and he told me that he will add this book together with the Book of Manipulation. I bade farewell to him and then headed to Chapati And Karak to begin my overtime work after my lunch there.
