The man looked nervous now. "I Alpha James of the Grey Moon Pack reject you" he paused and looked at me.
"Alex" I supplied dully "of the Crimson River Pack"

I felt something stretch from inside of me and then sever, an excruciating pain coursing through me. Despite myself, and my pride, tears welled in my eyes and I felt myself sinking to my knees. He didn't look much better, gritting his teeth and waiting for me to finish the rejection and sever the bond completely from both sides.
Accept the rejection, Alex, it's only going to hurt worse until you do.
"I Alex of the Crimson River Pack accept your rejection Alpha James" I whispered and then felt the pain shoot through me as I cried out, collapsing onto the ground.
