Chapter Eleven

719 Words
Elenora POV I saw him walk into the room and it was like the world stop. He was beautiful. I wanted to claim him as mine. As I opened my mouth to say so the whip hit my back again. Instead of words a scream escaped. I heard his Alpha tone when he yelled stop. My mate was the Alpha? He ordered everyone out and just stood there looking at me. As his eyes roamed my body, I could feel the anger rolling off him. I knew it was my fault. No one wanted a rogue as a mate. I took the time to study him. He was beautiful. His hair was black and curly. It looked so soft. Lilith whined as she wished we could run our hands through it. His face was contorted with anger, so I didn’t look on it for long. The suit he was wearing hid the rest of his body. Without a word he turned around and walked out. Lilith howled her sadness in my head. “He left us. Our mate left us strung up here. Why didn’t he help us?”   “I don’t know Lilith, but we need to prepare ourselves to be rejected. Didn’t you see the anger in his eyes and on his face. He is disgusted by us. He should be. We have been used more time then I care to count. I don’t deserve to be a Luna. We will accept his rejection.”   “No.” Lilith howled with pain in my head. Her pain magnified mine. Why couldn’t I have just died when Max abused me? It would have been better than this pain. I let the tears run down my cheeks freely.   I don’t know how long it was when I heard the door open. I had fallen asleep. When I looked up, I saw a warrior come into the room. I started to shake with fear again wishing I could run away. Following her was a female I didn’t recognize, but I knew her clothes. She was nurse. I remember them when I was in the pack hospital. They were nice to me. They took away my pain, fed me, and let me rest with no fear. The warrior still scared me. The warrior put the things she was carrying on a countertop then stood with her back facing me. The nurse grabbed what she needed and let herself into the cage. Her eyes were caring. “I am going to let you down and take care of your wound. I also brought you some clothes and some food.” I nodded then I smelled it. The soup like I had in the hospital. I allowed her to let me down. She did it as gently as possible, but I still fell to the floor. I had no strength left. She got on the floor with me and dressed my wound after giving me pain medication. Whatever she put on it took away the heat. She helped me get dressed in a simple shirt, underwear, and sweatpants. “A bra would cause you more pain.” I nodded still unsure about talking. I was afraid the warrior would take whatever I said and turn it around. The nurse then took her time feeding me. I was too weak from it all to lift the spoon to my mouth. I ate until I couldn’t fit in anymore. It felt good to be full again. The hospital was the only time I had ever felt that way. I knew I couldn’t get used to the feeling. The nurse got up and left my cell. I heard her tell the warrior to let her know if I needed anything else then she left the room. I started to shake again and backed my way into the far wall. I stayed like that for what seemed like forever, but the warrior never moved. I tried to reach out to Lilith. “What is she doing?” Lilith didn’t answer me. She was too focused on the pain of our mate leaving. I tried to make myself as comfortable as possible on the floor. There was nothing to keep me warm, so I did my best to curl up, but the pain in my back was almost too much. Exhaustion fell over me quickly despite how uncomfortable I was. I quickly fell asleep.
