Chapter Thirteen

470 Words
Titan POV I woke up with Chandra snuggled in my chest. I smiled as I detangled myself from her. I stretched as I got ready for training. Yesterday was crazy. I have no clue what Levi was going to do, but he was my Alpha so I would trust him and follow him. I know how much he was counting on finding his mate. He needed help. I could feel him struggling to keep up with Alpha duties by himself. A rogue wasn’t going to be able to help him. If everything I saw was what I thought it was the female hadn’t been in a pack since she was young, if at all. There was no way she would be able to help shoulder that weight. It was Levi’s choice though and I wasn’t going to help him make it. I gave my sweet mate one last glance before I headed to the training field. I was lucky enough to find my mate in our own pack on her 18th birthday. She was born for leadership.   Elenora POV I woke up after a refreshing night sleep. I sat up and felt the blanket fall off me. I realized I was laying on a pallet and had been covered up. Did the warrior do this? Then I smelled it. My mate had done this. I couldn’t help the smile that spread through my face. He wanted us. Lilith gained her energy back. I could feel her itching to get out and prance around. “Lilith calm down. If we were to shift the warrior would take that as a threat.” “I know you’re right, but I’m just so excited! He wants us, he wants us, he wants us!” I couldn’t help but smile at her until doubt began to creep in. What if he just couldn’t keep from coming to see us because of the bond. If he wanted us why didn’t he wake me up and get us out of here? I could feel my happiness diminish. It was just the bond. Once he broke it, he wouldn’t have to deal with these feelings. My gut told me he would reject us. We wouldn’t survive it. My body was too broken down, too abused. I laid back down and covered back up breathing in his scent. I would enjoy this while I could. Lilith refused to listen to my doubts, and I wasn’t going to push it. She needed that as much as I needed to mask in his scent. It wasn’t long until the door opened again. I looked toward it without moving. It was the nurse from last night. I could smell the food she had. She entered the cell and dressed my wounds then left the food for me to eat. Mate never came. I let the tears fall down my face.
