"yoongi hyung, is there any difference between adore and like and love?" jeongguk asked while spinning on the chair in yoongi's studio; genius lab.

if it was someone else, yoongi would probably burn the person alive for interrupting him drinking his daily dose of morning coffee, but since it was jeongguk, he exhaled deeply in attempt to calm himself because the screeching sound that came from the swiveling chair peeved him. he considered to take it out after this session.

"well, duh, of course yes," yoongi answered in a sassy manner as he placed the mug on a table in front of him. he placed his folded palms above his lap and continued, "you can have a girlfriend or boyfriend and still head over heals for your idol, but your heart belongs to your significant other. that's what adore means, roughly explained."

jeongguk bobbed his head, eyeglasses bounced up and down on his nose bridge, looking like a pure innocent kid while hearing the wise yoongi who most likely has the knowledge of one hundred years old human ― or at least that's how jeongguk saw him, with much adoration and awe.

although in fact, yoongi found those on google but he wanted to keep that a secret and be a cool hyung for jeongguk.

"about like and love. . . both words look the same but have different meanings. i am not sure how to describe it, but i think if you love someone, then it means you're taking your relationship seriously. like could be an infatuation," yoongi continued his explanation which took a while for jeongguk to register the words into his brain. he was no expert in this kind of topic. he's called a fetus for a reason.

"i see," jeongguk muttered, almost not audible but since the atmosphere was quiet, yoongi could hear it.

jeongguk looked down as he began spinning the chair again, earning a frustrated groan from yoongi which the younger did not notice. he dived deeper into his thoughts, his face presented his famous shook expression, as if yoongi's explanation had taken him into a whole new world, with new point of views, and crystal clear sights.

that was what he hoped for, but actually, jeongguk became even more confused with these affections related words.

"so jeongguk, which word is the best to describe your feelings among the three?" yoongi asked as he took his coffee mug again, using the tea spoon to stir the dark liquid.

"none of the three could describe it. the word 'confused' is the best for me as for now." jeongguk nodded.

yoongi huffed. "come on, don't you like that girl so much?" the news about jeongguk having a crush was known by all of his hyungs, since seokjin spilled everything.

'the answer is of course yes. but these days, i feel like giving up on her. the sparks that i used to get whenever i received a message from her is slowly fading. do i still have feelings for nara?' jeongguk bit his nail while forming a sentence for answering.

"i ―" he started.

" ― i don't know, hyung. i need to confirm something first."
