“Don’t keep us in suspense, Jace,” Hamilton said. “What’s going on?”
“I just got a text from Macon. Manny Brewster—Greg’s dad, will be at the riding lesson this afternoon.”
“Oh dang,” Hamilton said. “That means something must be up.”
“If you need backup,” Jacob said, “just ask.”
“You guys do know that Manny owns the local gym where the boxers and wrestlers train?” Jace said.
“I didn’t know,” Hamilton said. “Does Manny coming mean trouble’s at hand?”
“No,” Jace said. “He and Macon are boxing partners when they have the time. They even used to wrestle together. I’m pals with the guy too. But his wife brought Greg to the last lesson. Manny’s a businessman these days.”
