Rebecca is at a loss for words because her tongue is being held captive; yet, she cannot believe that her reputation is being sullied in such a manner, particularly by Axel, whom she did not anticipate doing so. Rebecca can't believe it.
She felt horrified by the way the two men were looking at her, and they were looking at her.
She was about to leave in order to avoid experiencing whatever it was that she was feeling.
Rebecca took a deep breath before speaking. "I was the one who ordered him to capture Sophie, but as to where her sister is, I have no clue," she added after holding her breath.
"I didn't even meet her, my Lord." Rebecca's teeth were clenched as she bent in shame, and she made the decision to turn around so that she would never have to confront Axel's icy look again.
