“Daddy!” Reighn called out cheerfully to his daddy as we got out of the car.
“I miss you, sweetie,” Adam said tenderly to his child and quickly picked him up.
“Daddy, Rachel is with us,” Reighn said.
Reighn let go of his daddy and went inside the house. Adam and I were left outside. I approached him and kissed him on the cheek.
“I miss you, baby,” he whispered to me, only for me to hear.
“Hi, Hon—I mean Adam,” Katherine greeted Adam.
“Thank you for accompanying Rachel,” Adam said seriously to his ex-wife.
“You’re always welcome, Adam. Rachel is nice, and Reighn really likes her.”
