“Daddy, do you think Rachel will come?” Reighn asked Adam. He really wanted her to come because, to Reighn, Rachel was already like a sister.
“I don’t know, baby. But I’m hoping she will come,” his dad replied to him.
“I don’t mind not receiving any gifts as long as Rachel is with me.”
“Sweetie, can I ask you something?”
“What is it, dad?” Reighn asked.
“Nothing, sweetie,” Adam said because he changed his mind. He didn’t want to ruin his child’s day. He wanted to ask his daughter if she would be okay with him starting a relationship with another woman.
“Okay, daddy. I’ll go out for a bit,” Reighn said goodbye.
Adam was left alone in the room. He was about to leave when his ex-wife suddenly entered.
“Adam, can I ask you a favor?” Katherine asked him.
“About what?”
