CHAPTER 4

Well...I was right about one thing. It was a barbecue party. What I didn't expect was that it was a fancy barbecue party. All the guests were in Beautiful designer dresses and suits and I looked like some beggar who wanted to catch free food. I managed to sit in a corner staring at all the guests, hoping no one would recognize me. "Bryda...is that you?" somebody called. I turned around and d lo and behold it was my high school rival Silvia. "I know you had no sense of fashion in highschool but come-on...weren't you told it was a fancy party. The least you could do is look presentable" She mocked and I shrunk like a drenched rat. "I wasn't told it would be this sophisticated" I muttered. "Even if you were told... you wouldn't dress any different" she kept torturing me. She was slowly creating a scene and I was getting noticed and I had judging eyes staring disgustingly at me. I but my lip in embarrassment. "Who gave you an invitation to such a sophisticated party?" She asked again demanding to know. I didn't even know my neighbor's name. "I..." I stuttered. "I did" a voice came from behind. I turned around and saw my neighbor.
