azel pov "I’m going to die. Like, actual funeral. Just bury me with a ring light." Rina blocked my path at the school gate, dramatic as always. "What now?" I asked, already bracing. "Mr. Collins took my phone during Chem. Said I was 'corrupting the learning environment' or something equally boring." "You were watching t****k videos in the classroom." "Don’t police me, nun. The point is—my phone is probably still in his bag. Sitting pretty by the back window. I need it back." "So?" "So we go grab it before he locks it up." "You’re insane." "You’re boring." "Rina, no." She paused. Tilted her head. Lowered her lashes like a weapon. "Please, cupcake?" I rolled my eyes. Hard. And followed. We crept around the back of the staff block like it was familiar. It wasn’t. Rina whispered something about the bag being near the window, but I wasn’t listening anymore. That’s when I heard it. A soft whimper. Another. The kind that felt too close to my own breath. Then—a slap of skin. Wet. Sharp. The unmistakable rhythm of bodies moving like they’d forgotten where they were. We turned the corner— And I stopped breathing. Her skirt was bunched around her waist. One leg hooked over his hip, the other trembling. His hand was gripped hard around her thigh, fingers digging in like he wanted to bruise her into remembering. His other hand—buried in her hair, pulling her head back so her mouth could barely form a sound. And Blaze. God. He moved like he was high on it. Eyes hooded. Sweat clinging to his jaw. His hips grinding slow, deep, filthy—like he wanted her to feel it in her throat. It wasn’t soft. It wasn’t hidden. It was something wild. Something feral. And then— His head lifted. He looked up. Right toward the shadows where we stood. Not surprised. Not guilty. Just amused. Like he felt the air shift. Like he knew I was watching. Like he wanted me to. And worst of all? I didn’t move. I was supposed to look away. But I didn’t. I let it burn through me. I let it stay. "I’m going to die. Like, actual funeral. Just bury me with a ring light."
