We walked for a few yards until we came to a beautiful crystal clear lake. “Wow.”, I gasped as I looked out over the lake. “It’s beautiful…”, I said, completely speechless. Damien smiled at me before looking out at the lake. “Not nearly as beautiful as you.”, he said. I looked up at him and was not sure how to respond. He looked back into my eyes, playfully biting his lip. “You probably shouldn’t look at me like that.”, he said. I frowned. “Why not?”, I asked. He chuckled deeply before leaning in close to my face. “Because I may be tempted to kiss you.”, he said. I felt my cheek flush red as I awkwardly looked down at the ground. Damien seemed to like my reaction, giggling to himself. “You’re so cute when you blush.”, he said, lifting my chin with his finger. I looked back up into his intense violet eyes, feeling my self-control dwindle by the second. “You know what? Why don’t we play a little game.”, he said, still staring intensely into my eyes. I cleared my throat, tearing my eyes from his. “What kind of game?”, I asked. He giggled playfully as he untied my sash from my waist and wrapped it around my eyes as a blindfold. “What are you doing, Damien?! I can’t see!”, I exclaimed. He gently held onto my hands leading me away from the lake’s embankment. “This is the game. See if you can sense me while blindfolded. It’s a game that we play with the younger werewolves to help them develop their heightened sense of smell.”, he said before letting my hands go. “Just remember something...”, he said into my ear from behind me. How did he move so quickly and quietly? “...you’re never alone.” I gasped as I felt his presence leave me. I turned my head around, hearing the sounds of birds chirping, the bubbling of the lake, the splashing of fish jumping in and out of the water, and the sound of little critters moving in the trees. I sighed aloud. Doesn’t he know that I’m not a werewolf? I don’t have a heightened sense of smell or anything like that. I froze suddenly remembering something important. “But I can sense nearby presences.”, I thought.           Ever since I was young, I had this uncanny ability to sense when someone was coming before anyone else knew. For instance, two days before my parents returned from a business trip I had told my tia exactly when they’d get back. She smiled and patted my head. “Of course, mi amor.”, she said, not truly believing me until they actually returned at the same exact time I said they would. She called it my sixth sense, a gift from God. I’m not going to lie, it does come in handy. I calmed my nerves and took a slow breath. I thought of Damien, his laugh, his soft smile, his goofy personality, truly grasping the warmth of his aura, his energy. I couldn’t help but smile to myself at the thought of him. He was a good man, I knew that. I just hope that it’s him and not his wolf’s hunger to be with me. I carefully started walking to the left, further from the lake, deeper into the forest. I could feel him. He was close. I knew it. I continued to walk, with my hands out in front of me to make sure I didn't run into anything. All of a sudden, I felt a presence approach me. I put my hands down and continued to walk towards it. It was a towering presence, but it was gentle and kind. There was also a very commanding, dominating feel to it as well, clearly a male but not just any male. I felt a small smile go across my lips as the presence stopped right in front of me. “Found you.”, I said. I felt a hand gently grab mine. It then travelled up my arm to cup my cheek. I found myself leaning in closer to the touch, relaxing. It was definitely Damien. I remember the feel of his hands. It was very distinguishable. I then felt his other hand cup my other cheek. I placed my hands onto his arms, feeling the soft fabric of his flannel beneath my finger tips. “Damien?”, I said inquisitively, wondering why he wasn’t speaking.           Unexpectedly, I felt his mouth collide with mine. I inhaled deeply through my nose as his lips met me over and over again. I moaned aloud as he pushed his tongue into my mouth, sending electrifying sensations throughout my body. I shivered as he deepened the kiss. I felt his hands untie the blindfold, kissing me once more before it fell from my eyes. He looked tenderly at me, as if I was the most precious thing in the world. I looked into his eyes, noting the change of color that had occurred again. I felt his hands wrap around my waist, pulling me closer until there was no space between us. I found myself looking away bashfully, a smile threatening to appear on my lips. “Are you scared?”, he asked. I looked up at him and shook my head. “Why would I be?”, I asked. He pointed at himself, poking his chest. “Me, werewolf.”, he said. “You…”, he rubbed my arms,”...human.” I rolled my eyes. Was he picking on me? “I know that. You’re so childish.”, I said. Damien laughed as he hugged me closely, gently kissing my neck. “I just don’t want you to be scared of me.”, he said. I scoffed. “You are not scary. Maybe a little goofy, but not scary.”, I chuckled. Damien chuckled deeply before kissing my neck again. I could feel his teeth graze my sensitive skin, sending a chill down my spine. “Do you like this?”, he asked as he gently grabbed a handful of my hair and firmly pulled my head back. I gasped slightly and felt his lips all over my neck. He nibbled gently before starting to suck on my neck roughly. It felt like my breath felt me as he continued. “Wait, Damien. You’ll leave a mark.”, I said with a slight moan. He chuckled deeply without ceasing and started to suck on my neck harder. I moaned aloud, unable to fight the sensation that had my body bound. I panted aloud as he pulled away, leaving my breathless.
