Getting Ready for Forever

Damien           Before I knew it, I lifted the arm rest that separated us, grabbed her ankle, and pulled her underneath me causing her to yelp a little. I hovered over her, staring down at her wide eyes. “That was unfair and you know it.”, I growled. She looked up at me and nonchalantly chugged the rest of her beer, turning me on even more. I pinned her down, growling deeply at her. She gasped and looked back up at me. “I don’t need a babysitter, Dam-hiccup-ein.”, she said with even redder cheeks. I firmly put my hand around her jaw, making her look at me. “You don’t know how hard it is for me to keep my control. Every second of the day I fight my urges to make you mine and you go and reach over me, showing me what I’m not getting.”, I said. She stared at me shocked, as if she didn’t know what she had done. “I-I’m sorry. I didn’t realize, honest.”, she said. I leaned in close to her face. “Did you really think I would buy that?”, I whispered into her ear. “Or do you want me to mark you? Do you want me, babe?”, I whispered again before nibbling at the mark I put on her earlier. She gasped as I situated myself down between her legs, freezing in place. I could feel her chest heaving heavily underneath me. I looked over at her and saw her biting her lip as she looked away from me. I looked back down at her neck, moved her hair out of the way, and started kissing her neck. She whimpered in my grasp, wrapping her arms around me. I huffed as I licked her all the way up to her ear, putting her in my lap. She held me close as I then started kissing her lips. I nibbled at them and licked at her tongue. She moans aloud, causing my hands to feel right up the back of her tank top, playing with the hooks of her bra threatening to undo it. I pulled away from her, staring into her eyes. “We should stop if you don’t want me to take you right here and now.”, I said softly. She blinked slowly and nodded, as if a spell had been broken, pushing her hair back and getting off of my lap. I closed my eyes and breathed, trying to calm myself down, which took longer than usual. I peeked out the corner of my eye and saw her sitting at the end of the row, with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She stared down at the ground with her hands on her head.           I walked over to her, hesitantly. “Are you okay?”, I asked. She sighed aloud and stood up. She didn't make eye contact with me. Was she mad at me? We stood in silence for a bit before she spoke. “I’m sorry. I can’t believe I did that. I’m not helping this situation at all. If anything, I’m making it worse.”, she said, crossing her arms. I frowned at her and laughed aloud. “No, no, no, you’re not about to take the blame for this. It’s the fact we’re mates. The connection is...passionate and real. That’s all.”, I said as I hugged her. She hugged me back and exhaled into my chest. I kissed the top of her head and breathed in her scent. “Come on, let’s get you back to your room.”, I said, not wanting to say goodnight. Nadoria           I sighed as I told Damien good night, feeling as if I really let him down. We were trying to get to know each other, trying to learn more about each other before marking each other and all that, and I went and screwed everything up. I plopped onto my bed, nuzzling my face deep into my pillows. “I’m such an i***t. Damien...I’m so sorry.”, I thought. I rolled over on my back and stared up at the ceiling. He’s a werewolf, which means that his urges are far more stronger than mine. It must be torture, but at the same time that makes him incredibly strong. He really cares because he’s trying to make this work...for me. That thought only made me feel worse. “Okay, okay. No sense in crying over spilled milk. I am making a vow tonight. I promise to be strong enough for the both of us, Damien. I’ll keep us both under control, so you won’t have to try so hard.”, I thought. After that, I fell into a deep dreamless sleep.           The next day, I was awoken by a knock at my door. I knew immediately that it wasn’t Damien. The knock sounded too soft. I sat up and wiped my eyes. I could feel a gentle, feminine, strong presence radiating from behind the door. “Luna.”, I mouthed to myself as I scrambled out of bed, trying to fix myself up before answering. When I opened the door, as expected, Dr. Eliane Wells, Luna of the Night Brave pack stood before me. She smiled brightly before wrapping me up in a tight hug. I hugged her back, shocked at the sudden affection. “Oh, good morning, Nadoria! Gosh, it feels like it’s been forever since I last saw you!”, she exclaimed as she let me go. She stood back and took me in. “You are going to make a fine Luna someday, so intelligent, so beautiful. The Moon Goddess certainly did smile down on my Damien.”, she said as she cupped my cheek in her hand. I looked away trying to hold back a proud smile. “Dr. Wells, you make me sound better than I actually am. I honestly don’t know the first thing about being Luna.”, I said. She smiled at me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. “Neither did I, to be honest. It’s something learned, not necessarily innate. You learn the ways of the pack, the traditions, how to foster peace and maintain treaties, the politics of being a Luna. That’s truly the bulk of it.”, she said, sitting me down on the pastel that was in front of my bed. “Which is another reason why I am here, to start your training, and to get you ready for your welcome party tonight.”, she said with excitement, gently clapping her hands together. My eyes widened to the size of baseballs. “W-w-welcome party?”, I asked. She nodded and went on to explain how I was going to be introduced as the future Luna and accepted as the newest member of the pack. My palms started to sweat and I felt my heart begin to pound in my chest. “Calm down, Nadoria. I can hear your heart rate increasing.”, she said. I nodded and tried to breath slowly without much success. Dr. Wells grabbed my hand and patted it. “It’s going to be okay. Cato and I will be right by you and Damien’s side the entire time.”, she said reassuringly. I gave her a small smile feeling more at ease. “Now, let’s go pick out your dress.”, she said.
