Awkward!

"Nolan's pov"

It was a busy morning at work this morning, Athena already had a line of 6 people waiting to order when I got in. I jumped on the second register and took a few off her hands, she must have been running late today. She did have that dinner last night and looks tired. But she still looked good, and her perfume smelled great.

"So how did the family dinner go?" After she took the last order she smiled."his mother was great she's very sweet, didn't get to meet his father though on account of work. Next week he should be there though." Next week? She has to go again?! "Oh...so you have to go again." She nodded "yup we have pretend were engaged. Something about him telling his family his girlfriend and him got engaged after a year of being together." I couldn't help the twinge of jealous feelings that took over my face. If I was going to make a move I should do it soon, especially if she feels this way about a strangers family.

She gave me a funny look and carried on working, cade sent us two waitresses, and someone to make food in the back. So all we had to do was take orders, and make sure everything ran smoothly. After a long days work, we closed up and I finally decided to make my move before Cade stole her away from me. Athena locked up the doors and set the alarms, when she was done she turned towards me and gave me a hug signaling her goodbyes for the night. I could smell her perfume tickle my nose and I sighed. When she pulled away I couldn't stop myself, before I knew it I had bent down and right smack on her lips.

"Athena's pov"

I went stiff and ridged the guy I had come to know as a brother had kissed me. And not just the oh your my best friend or sister kinda kiss where you get peck on the cheek or the top of the head. No it was a full on smack on the lips. I was in shock, he pulled away and blushed.

"I-I I gotta G-Go?" I stuttered out it sounded like a question. "I'll see you later" I said blankly still not sure what happened really. He just looked at the ground and nodded.

Wow awkward... I don't know how to feel about that, I didn't even feel a spark. Or butterflies. He's like a brother to me, I can't deal with this right now.
