A Merry christmas?

"Cam's POV"

Waking up to the smell of mother starting Christmas dinner, garlic butter turkey, honey baked ham, cranberries, a few more sides, pies. It's a nice smell in the morning, I've been dying for her home cooked meals. That's the one thing I miss about being living at home, it's Christmas morning I better get up and around. Mother had already had one of the help bring up my clothes from the wash it was folded nice and neat on top the dresser and still warm from the dryer. Grabbing a towel from the linen closet I took a hot shower and got dressed. Heading down stairs I heard a sound coming from Cade's room, did they stay over? Wouldn't surprise me mother loves her company and why drive all the way home just to get up earlier then normal and drive all the way back it's a waste of gas. They definitely stayed over though cause I could hear light whispers. "Good morning beautiful how'd you sleep?" It was quite for a moment then I heard shuffling "could've been better just had a weird dream is all." I rolled my eye's, better? I'll remember that next time she seemed to like it more then that. "Let's go shower hun." It got quite once more then I hear Athena scream and start laughing. I took that as my cue to go.

"Cade's POV"

After our shower we headed downstairs, mither had the place decked out decorations everywhere. The house smelled great with her cooking, and all her perfectly wrapped presents with handmade bows were neatly set up under the tree. "Everything looks great and smells amazing mother." I said sneaking a few grapes. She smiled. "Thank you dear you two hungry? How'd you guys sleep?" Athena nodded "yes I'm hungry, and I think we slept pretty well" as mother was making Athena something to eat I kissed her forehead and waited for her to react but she didn't even move just stared off into space. "Honey you okay?" She nodded "okay well I need to go find cam and father" she kept staring and twiddling her thumbs. Like she was lost in thought I've never seen her like this I hope she's okay. I was making my way to the library when I felt a presence behind me. "What do you want?" I asked and turned around to face cam he chuckled. "How did you get a girl like her? I'm just curious because you've never been one to settle down and I know damn well you two haven't been together as long as you say you have." I balled my fist "that's none of your concern. And why do you care? Its none of your business." He smirked "well I feel something for that girl and I'm sure you've noticed after all I haven't even tried to hide it. I just want to know what secrets you keep from her and how broken she'll be when I get her." I dug my nails into the palm of my hands I really wanted to hit this guy "you'd love that right? It's not enough to just try and take fathers company now you want to try and take my girl too?" He laughed and reached into his back pocket "I don't think I will have to try very hard brother" he said pulling out a packet and throws it at me. I look through it, it's the contract between me and Athena. I told her I was going to void it but I didn't. "Where did you get this?" I said through gritted teeth. "It's not hard to convince your bimbo at the shop to go to the office and grab something for me for my dear brother." I spun around and punched a wall. "Tell me Cade why didn't you void the contract? Wasn't that the new agreement you two shared?" I pressed my forehead on the wall. "It was yes and I forgot to do it" he grunted "forgot? Or didn't want too? Is this just your way of protecting yourself? Not doing what you promise so if anything happens you can deny everything? After all there's no pictures or anything to prove otherwise right? Just he said she said?" I gritted my teeth. "What are you saying cam?" He scratched his head and looked up like he was thinking "Tell me the truth and I won't tell, and quit fighting for father's company. Maybe I'll keep your secret. If not that's fine. I'll still take the company but I'll take your quote on quote girl as well after I tell her the truth. And don't go hoping that destroying that will help it's a copy, I have the original." I grunted. "Okay fine you can have the company but not her. The only reason I didn't void it was because I was scared something would go wrong I was going to wait a few months till I knew everything was going to be fine. I mean look at her! She beautiful, smart, knows how to handle herself, and get what she wants. She could have anyone she wants." He laughed "thanks little brother see ya around." With that he turned and left.

"Athena's POV"

As I waited for food I was thinking about my dream last night. I was in bed but not by myself, and i wasn't with Cade either. I was....in bed with cam it was strange we had breakfast in bed, then watched a movie and napped we stayed in bed all day doing nothing but being happy. It was so real like the time in the library but... It wasn't as dangerous feeling. Cade's mother sat pancakes and hash browns in front of me. "Where's Cade at?" She asked. I shook my head. "I'm not sure" she looked at me with a skeptical tone. "You okay dear?" I sighed "yes I'm okay just not all together yet this morning" she smiled down at me. "That's okay dear were all entitled to our moments. Go ahead eat I'll find the boys. But you should get your head in the gane were about to do our annual gingerbread house contest." I chuckled "okay". With that she walked off and left me alone to my thoughts. Shortly after I was being called into the dinning room, she had huge ginger bread houses set up for each of us all we had to do was decorate. A full rainbow of icing and candy. From trees, to chocolate chips, to small hard candies. She explained the rules, you may ask for help from others but you can't sabotage others or touch their projects. Once she said go we took off I use the white icing to adhere small candy balls as a trim around the roof and corners of my house then I went across the top of the roof, they looked like Christmas lights. Using green and red icing I made a small wreath with red berries on the door. The I took yellow and put on a little bow. I added a few icicles around the roof of my house and some snow on the ground. I placed two trees infront of my home abd dusted them with powdered sugar. Then right by one of my trees I put a chocolate chip down to look like reindeer poop. It was always a thing in my family to do. "Time's up!" I admired my work and looked at the others cam's was pretty close to mine but had more shoved on. Cade's looked simple. And their father didn't do anything to his. Must not be big on things like this. "I feel like cam and Athena are the only ones who put effort into their house's. And it may be just me but I think Athena won this" I smiled Cade congratulated me and cam winked. "Next we will eat and then do gifts!" His mother sang out. We helped set the table and move good over. She made many foods turkey, Turkey gravy, ham, candied yams, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. "Everything looks amazing." She smiled. Mr. Billionaire carved the turkey and ham,then we made plates and said Grace. After dinner we moved in to gifts. Everyone got two gifts from each person I feel as though the boy's father didn't do his shopping their mother did. Cade got a set of knives from his brother, a nice sweater set from his mother, a new watch from his father, and I got him a few of his favorite books. Cam got a nice set of bathroom towels from his mother, and a few other things. As I was opening my last gift his mother kept staring and smiling. And now I see why she got us three full sets of baby clothes. "Uh- wha-whats this?" She smiled and clasped her hands. "Once you guys get married in sure you'll start trying for kids so thus is just a few sets to make sure you have something. You know get you started." I dropped the outfits in shock. This conversation again. Cade was dead quite and cam busted out laughing. Oh lord again what have I gotten myself into.
