Chapter EightSitting on the floor beside him, Ciara watched Rico sleeping. Her heart welled with great empathy. They were trapped in a horrible situation and somehow, she had to do more to make him better. She listened for noises outside and heard nothing. Domingo was probably off doing whatever it was he did when he disappeared each day. If she was going to do something to help get them back to civilization, there was no time like the present. She rose and headed for Domingo's back room. No person could live alone on this remote uninhabited island and not have a radio or some sort of communication. Someone supplied Domingo with his distilled water and other supplies. How would they know when he needed more and when to come? Everything in the back room was covered with dust. She saw thing
