Chapter 11Though Jesse answered the questions JT and David posed, Gideon could tell this new information on Foster had struck Jesse deep. He could also see that he was holding back on some of the details. Out of courtesy for Michelle, or something else entirely? Gideon didn’t know. He wasn’t going to ask, not with others present. If it looked like it continued to plague Jess when they were alone, he might consider bringing it up again to see what might come of it.
JT was fascinated with Michelle’s involvement. His questions invariably kept coming back to her and not the issue with Foster. It annoyed Gideon a little to see further proof of her hold on Jesse’s other self. Would this have been how he would have turned out here if Michelle had gotten to him first? Gideon wanted to think not.
