Mateo woke up in a dark room, got up, and went to the bathroom to have a cold bath after a long and happy night. He could not get the lady he spent the night with off his mind, but he never kept contact with the girls arranged for him every day. He was happy because his day before the one-night stand was stressful. Mateo was singing and dancing in the shower. He got out and got dressed but could not find his watch, so he put the lights on and lifted the duvet to look for his watch. “What!” he shouted. “Blood! A virgin, who sent a virgin for me?” Mateo saw Clara’s bag on the floor. “Who left this bag here? What is going on?” Mateo wondered. Mateo called his secretary to ask who she sent to his room last night, and his secretary told him he sent no one. “Jael! Jael!” Mateo called, “Yes! Mateo” Jael passed Clara down the stairs, lost in thought, but she couldn’t pay attention to her because she was in a haste to get to Mateo’s room. “What is wrong with Clara? I’ll just talk to her later; let me attend to Mateo first,” Jael thought as she opened the door to Mateo’s room. “Who was in my room last night? Who allowed her into my room? And why was she on my bed?” Mateo asked in rage, “Oh no, which person? Clara?” Jael asked. Clara was standing at the edge of the stairs, lost in thought. “Who the hell is Clara? I don't know her or who was in my room either, but someone was in my room, and she left her bag here." Mateo pointed to the bag on the floor. "Mateo, please calm down; that's Clara’s bag, Clara! Clara!” Jael called, "Yes, Jael.” Clara answered as she ran into the room and stood behind Jael in fear. “What were you doing in Mateo’s room? Did you lay on his bed, Clara?” Jael asked. “Mateo? Who is Mateo?” Clara asked, “This man standing right in front of you is Mateo, the only son of your masters, the one you have been appointed to assist me with, and this is his room." Jael explained, “Oh no! I think I missed the room you pointed out, and I was drunk from all the wine the cook gave me. I got up here and thought this was my room. I didn't check because I was too drunk and tired. I just put my bag down, jumped on the bed, and slept. It was an honest mistake from my side. I am sorry, Jael. I am sorry, Mateo." Clara begged, “What! Such a stupid and useless girl, don't you ever call me by my name again, and does this room sound like one of a worker? Didn’t you see my things and pictures?” Mateo asked, “Oh no, I’m sorry, Master Mateo. I was tired and drunk, so I didn’t check. I just put my things down, jumped on the bed, and slept off. I am very sorry." Clara apologised, “What incompetence!” Mateo continued, "Mateo, please forgive her mistakes; she is sorry; she is new and has not taken up to a day here; I'll talk to her.” Jael pleaded with Mateo, “Just get her out of my sight, and please make sure to talk to her very well; she is already getting on my nerves.” Mateo smirked.
Mateo and Clara did not mention the s*x; they both pretended as if nothing happened, and Jael did not notice anything either.
Jael took Clara’s hands and rushed out of Mateo’s room, quietly closing the door behind them. Clara was so angry and confused. “Such a rude man, but why would he talk to me in such a condescending manner? Very rude.” Clara hissed, “Don’t ever say that loud again! Don't be angry, dear; Mateo is a good boy; you’ll get along; you just have to understand him and learn not to make him angry.” Jael shut Clara’s mouth with her hands and showed her the room facing Mateo’s room as her room. “I don't think my work here would be as easy as I thought. That rude son of my master just took my virginity in my drunk state, and he is pretending as if nothing happened. Who would I tell? Where would I complain? I'll just have to be strong; such a heartless young man, I'm sure he would make life uneasy for me here.” Clara thought as she went into her room. Mateo was in his room still upset. He had a rough day yesterday, and this incident just spiked his rage. He has serious problems with women; he never believes them, and he always thinks women have ulterior motives for whatever they do. He couldn’t get over his rage because of how stressful yesterday was. He kept reminiscing about what happened all day yesterday; he couldn't get those ugly events out of his head, and that was driving him insane. Mateo always loved to be in control, but he was confused and did not know how to face or deal with what he encountered. Yesterday morning, he went to his office, only to be told that his favourite cousins, Alex and Alexia, who were twins, were arrested because of fraud. That spoiled his whole mood, but in the end, after a lot of persuasions, he got the authorities to assume that they were innocent and allow them to go on bail. That brought him a lot of joy because he believed and trusted that his cousins were innocent and would never do anything wrong. Even though they were always getting themselves into one problem or another with the police, Mateo always found an excuse for their actions and saved them from the authorities no matter what. Moments later, after he dropped his cousins off at home, made sure they were okay, and went back to his office, his phone rang, and it was a call from his best friend, Noah. Noah is a nice and simple young man who inherited all his parents’ wealth after they died in a car crash, and he is a shareholder in Mateo’s company. Noah is the opposite of Mateo; he doesn’t believe in paying strangers to sleep with them and dump them or pretending not to ever know them the next day. He always frowns at his awful behaviour towards Mateo. Noah believes in love and is living with his girlfriend, Ella, a girl he found in the streets, who he took in and cleaned up with love and money. “Guy, what's up?” Mateo said immediately after he picked up the call. “Guy, I’m not okay; my baby is angry with me, and I have no idea what I did wrong.” Noah complained, “Oh no, I love kids. Guy, ask her. That is why she’s your baby, not someone else's." Mateo answered, “I've tried, but she won't talk to me, and I’m planning on proposing to her this weekend. All the plans have been made; I hope it goes well, and I hope you’ll be there to support me." Noah continued, "Please, guy, don’t bore me with your love problems; you should be used to her treating you that way by now. I don’t even know why you’re hell-bent on being used by that girl, but what can I say? I’ll be there to support your foolishness; after all, you’re my guy. You'll say I don’t believe in love and I'm a hater, but at least I don’t get myself used by one gold-digging girl." Mateo Giggled “Stop saying those things about her; I have told you to respect her; she’s my woman.” Noah replied, “Anyway, I’m busy at work. We will talk later, lover boy." Mateo mocked Noah.
“Knock! Knock!” Someone was banging on Mateo’s office door. “Who is it? Come in,” Mateo answered. “It’s me, sir; someone sent a gift box and a letter for you; I think it is important." Mateo’s secretary said as she walked in with a gift box and a white envelope and handed them to Mateo. Mateo opened the box and took out what was in it. It was an expensive wine, one of Mateo’s favorites. “Wow! Who sent this? One of my favourites is, Why do I think today is going to be a good day after all the stress this morning?” Mateo smiled and opened the letter; it read
Dear My Love,
I HOPE YOU LIKE MY LITTLE GIFT; IT IS ONLY A SMALL SHOW OF MY FEELINGS FOR YOU. MEET ME AT THE SKY HOTEL IN TOWN, ROOM 105, AT 4 PM. I HAVE MORE SURPRISES FOR YOU. I hope you make it, and please do not keep me waiting.
I LOVE YOUR SECRET ADMIRER.
“Wow! Finally, good news! I love mystery. I’d like to meet this mysterious and romantic woman. I’m going to meet her.” Mateo beamed, “What’s even the time now? I can’t wait, and that hotel is far away from here.” Mateo continued as he looked at his watch for the time “What!, so fast? It’s already 3 p.m.; I have to get going now. I don’t want to keep my mystery woman waiting.” Mateo stepped out of his office beaming, “Wow, I’m going to have a great night. I hope she’s as beautiful as her gift of mysterious and romantic acts.” Mateo thought as he went into his car and drove off. He sang all the way there; he was very happy and did not even notice how long the road there was. He was so energetic and had great expectations for the night. Mateo got to The Sky Hotel and walked to the reception. “Hey! I’m going to room 105” Mateo explained to the receptionist, “Okay, your name, please? Do you have an appointment?” The receptionist asked, “I’m Mateo King, and yes, I have an appointment." Mateo answered, "Okay, Mr. Mateo King, please give me a minute and let me confirm.” The receptionist made a call to the room and gave Mateo a key to the room: “The first room on your right, on the third floor, sir.” The receptionist directed Mateo. Mateo was extremely happy and anxious to see this mysterious lady who caught his attention. He walked to the elevator, waited until it opened, got it, pushed the button for the third floor, and waited to get there. The elevator opened on the third floor. Mateo got out, went to the first door on his right, pulled out the key, and opened the door. ”Hey handsome,” the lady said. The lights were off, but the voice seemed familiar to Mateo. "Wow, a dark room? So naughty and mysterious, I like you already." Mateo replied, “I know you’ll love it, and that’s why I did all these for you; I want you on my bed tonight.” “You have me, but first I need to see who this mystery woman that has gotten my attention is.” Mateo continued as he reached for the switch and put the lights on without the knowledge of the woman. “What nonsense! What are you doing here? Don’t tell me I came all this way to see you.” Mateo hissed and began pacing around the room. He was very angry; his face became red; he began sweating profusely; and his eyes became scary to watch. The sight of Ella in a sleeping robe sitting on a hotel bed, confidently and without shame, waiting for her boyfriend’s best friend, was irritating to Mateo’s eyes. “You expected me to get here and have an affair with you and not check who you are? What a pity! I sleep with strangers every day; I do not repeat women, but I can never sleep with a woman without seeing her face, because I want my women to be beautiful, so I always have to make sure they are, even though it’s just a one-night stand.” Mateo continued, “Don’t do this, baby; I love you so much.” Ella got up and tried to touch Mateo. “Don’t try it! You’re my best friend's girlfriend; I know how much he loves you; I can never do this to him.” Mateo screamed, “Don’t worry about him; I don’t love him; I want you, and I’m going to get you.” Ella smiled. Noah was planning a surprise proposal for Ella, but Ella had always had eyes for Mateo because he was richer than Noah. Ella was not in love with either Noah or Mateo; she only wanted to have the richest guy she could find all to herself, and she had always made passes at Mateo behind Noah. Mateo always rejects Ella, but she never backs down. “What rubbish are you spewing out of your mouth?” Mateo asked Ella, “It is not rubbish; baby, just touch me, devour me, and I'll be fine.” Ella said seductively as she opened her rope and dropped it on the floor, standing in front of Mateo naked. “I know your type; this is a trap, and I'll never fall into it,” Mateo said, then he ran out of the hotel room, banging the door behind him. He stood, put himself together so no one would notice, then he got into the elevator, went down, and checked out with the receptionist. "Oh, now I see, Noah is stressed out thinking about what he did wrong to her, and this slut is out here throwing herself at his best friend. Women! Very deadly gender.” Mateo thought as he walked out of the hotel on his way home, only to meet his servant on his bed. “Women! Always getting on my nerves! I ran away from one’s trap, only to meet another trap in my room. This stupid new servant girl has a plan, but I’ll get to the root of this nonsense she just displayed now.” Mateo hissed, “But how am I supposed to handle this? Should I tell Noah? Ah, this is confusing. As for that stupid servant, Cara, or whatever her name is, I'll make sure she regrets ever coming into this room.” Mateo transferred all his rage to Clara and went back to bed.
