Chapter 31
Someone knocked on the door. I didn't plan to meet anyone at the time. Sean and I looked at each other, wondering who would come.
Sean went to open the door.
"Cora." I heard Sean say. Why did she come here? I looked in the direction of the door.
Sean gave way to let Cora in and closed the door behind her.
"How have you been?" Sean asked in a delighted tone.
"Fine. I just came back from school." Cora was timid, seeming to be a little anxious.
"Well..." Sean glanced at me and asked. "Do you want me to give you some space?"
"No, no." Cora realized what Sean meant and immediately interrupted.
I saw Sean smile cunningly. But Cora wasn't looking at him.
Cora suddenly stood straight and stared at me seriously. That made Sean and I both surprised.
