I leaped out of the bed, in a hurry to get to Tatiana before she could do something to my son. My hands reached for her, and I was quicker too. Tatiana snapped her neck my way, and my hand twitched before darkness dragged me into a pit. I don’t even understand how that had happened. My hands were right there, ready to grab her and then I was out. The only voice I could hear was my own.

Why is that running through my mind? My son is in danger, Rylan was taking out some guys. I need… f**k. They ambushed us. Was it because I got myself marked? Were they watching?
