Kelvin Gregory, grandfather to Kyle Gregory, isn't just a weird old man as his other grandchildren thought him to be. He is the CEO of one of the richest agricultural companies in the world, The International Agricultural Corporation, otherwise known as IAC.
Although he is now over seventy years old, he still hasn't retired from his position, his reason being that none of his descendants are capable of handling the empire he built, well, all except one, but he was still too young and inexperienced for the position.
Kelvin was currently in his office. After ending the call with his grandson on a rather spontaneous note, he decided to get back to work. He is currently reviewing some documents pertaining to a deal with a company called Antistarve, another agricultural corporation.
On his table were a telephone, a computer and other things. Standing behind him on the left was a fairly tall woman who looked to be in her mid twenties.
Kelvin had his brows furrowed as he read the business proposal, however, without fully reading the contract, he flung the documents aside, allowing them to scather on the floor.
"Julie!" He yelled at the woman standing behind him. "Pick all these papers and take them back to Lexus. Tell him I ain't interested in his goddamn offer! If he doesn't listen, then come tell me, I'll make sure he listens whether he likes it or not." Kelvin ordered, and the woman went straight to work without saying a word.
As soon as she left, Kelvin went back to reviewing some other documents on the table.
Once it was 6:00pm, it was finally time for Kelvin to close up and go back home.
Getting into the black boughati parked outside his company, he ordered his driver to take him straight home, since he was planning on visiting his grandson tomorrow.
After driving for some time, the driver pulled up in front of his mansion. In front were a pair of electric gates which only opened by voice recognition.
"Daddy's home!" Kelvin yelled, as the two door automatically opened on their own.
Beyond the gates were two fountains, one the shape of a Phoenix, while the other looked like a human slowly disintegrating to mud.
That wasn't all that was present. All through out the vast land were trees, crops, ornamental plants, and shrubs of all shapes and species. Unlike most agricultural firm owners, Kelvin didn't make use of artificial fertilization to make his produce top notch. All he replied on was good old manure or NPK, with a secret ingredient that only he knew about.
The driver parked the boughati in the garage and came out of the car to open the door for the CEO.
Mark, the driver, was a boy who had just clocked nineteen. A college student and orphan with no way to pay his expenses, he was out on the street one day crying his heart out when Kelvin Gregory was driving home, that time he didn't have a driver, and he desperately needed one since he was getting really old and couldn't trust professionally trained drivers, thinking they might be working for rival companies and may try to kill him or extract and sent valuable information back to whoever their boss is.
Mark was crying, wailing, banging his head on a nearby tree in frustration. All his life, he he worked hard to make sure his life would never be a mess. Thanks to being an only child, Mike never had to worry about siblings.
And Kelvin, being the saint he was, hired Mark to be his driver.
Stepping out of the car, Kelvin motioned for Mark to run some maintenance on the car, while he walked into his mansion.
The mansion was collosal in size and painted pure white. The sight was amazing, except for the choice of statues that made it rather odd.
As Kelvin stepped on his front porch, a scanner suddenly appeared underneath his feet and scanned him from head to toe. Once the scan was done, a ding sound was heard, followed by the two giant double doors infront of him opening up.
The inside was even better than the outside. The first thing that could be seen was a seemingly endless red carpet in a long hall. Servants stood on both sides of the carpet, ready to serve their master to the best of their capability.
Kelvin didn't even spare them a glance as he walked to the elevator and went up to his room. Once in his room, Kelvin got to work, packing his things for his upcoming visit.
