This did nothing to change her course as laughter could be heard now instead of screaming. I could feel my soul beginning to move slowly back as she approached closer and closer. “I wish your torment away from my life, Mother! Take leave of me now!” Still, nothing changed as she continued slowly as I chose to move away from her form and began moving toward the stairs. She then began sprinting toward me while scratching her clawed hand across the walls. I could hear the sounds of her torment flowing forth from all directions until I yelled, “No longer torment my heart, vile woman! You chose this bed and it will not torment me any longer!” I had closed my eyes once I had begun yelling only to open them again to see that my mother was gone.
