Before I could act in any way, Edric stepped forward and threw the last charge in front of this being as I pulled my pistol and fired. The charge burst into flames as the smoke obscured the being which left it screaming in a horrible tone that hurt my ears to even experience. Edric continued to move forward as I blasted another shot through the smoke and into the being once more. I had expected this thing to move from its current location, but it had been stunned by the charge. I no longer doubted the effectiveness of the charges against the pure demonic being at that moment. Edric and I now used the time given to hurt this being further in any way that we could with him slashing the being with his knife while I landed shot after shot.
