9 The next morning held only light shining through our bedroom window while also marking the first night without horrid and dark dreams. The rest that Mary and I received was much needed and not without praise from my mind and body together. Mary still rested as I removed myself from the bed and began dressing yet I could not help but worry that she might not wake. It was an irrational fear, but I felt it necessary given all that had happened to her in the previous days. I checked Mary’s health with the mirror under her nose which gave me peace of mind that she was alive and well. I knew in my heart that she would be able to rest now without the worry that something would take her in her dreams. My heart felt peace and understanding that this could all be over now leaving only our lives
