Meeting Room Two
Pauline put down the phone and ran along the white laboratory corridors. She was still in a state of shock and frantically looking for Peter, to tell him about their son, Andee.
She hurriedly looked through the various glass porthole doors to see if Peter was working in any of the labs close by. She opened one door and glanced in. “Peter …” she said, “have you seen my husband, Peter?”
“No,” said a person without bothering to look up from a microscope, “I haven’t seen him.”
She carried on searching for her husband. She passed another marine-biologist in the corridor, a woman. She was talking on her mobile phone. Pauline interrupted her in the middle of a conversation …
