Danna Sherrod left after assuring Racheal that there was nothing to worry about.
Rachael thought the woman's whole attitude switch was strange. Why was she so calm now?
She turned back to their bedroom to lay down. She feared she would soon pass out if she didn’t.
“You did not have to agree to that.” Steffan said as she climbed on to the bed.
“Please don’t.” Racheal frowned, trying to close her eyes.
“I can protect you, Racheal.” He said strongly, too strongly.
She opened her eyes to look at him in disbelief. The silence that hung in the room after those words was heavy and awkward. She slowly turned her back to him, and closed her eyes.
When she woke up, it was completely dark outside, but she did not feel as terrible anymore.
