CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT OMINIPOTENT POV. A crimson envelope rested silently on the small wooden table. It hadn't been there this morning. Luna's footsteps came to an abrupt stop. Her eyes slowly widened. "...What?" The single whisper escaped her lips before she cautiously looked around the quiet house. The windows were shut. The front door was still locked. No one... No one could have entered. Her breathing gradually became uneven as she walked toward the table, every step slower than the last. Her trembling fingers hovered above the envelope for several seconds before finally picking it up. It was cold. Too cold. The rich crimson paper almost looked as though it had been painted with fresh blood. She stared at it in silence. Then, with shaking hands, she slowly opened it.
