HIS TRUE SELF (DO YOU STILL TRUST ME?)

Those were Seungmin's last words for the day.

Changbin and him left Felix and you, telling you both that they would come to pick you up this night since Hyunjin would still be busy till then.

You didn't even talk a word to Felix, you just locked yourself in the bedroom and tried to sleep, which took you some time but eventually worked out in the end.

Following your sleep, you grabbed some food, still trying to avoid him.

Felix on his side was worried about you, but he knew that you would need your time. And he respected that.

Still, he made sure that you'd eat and would be fine.

Right when you came out of the shower- which you decided to take since you did not really had anything to do- Seungmin arrived, ready to pick you up.

And here you sat now. On the passengers seat in Seungmins car, staring out in the dark sky.

Your thought were really messed up. You didn't know if you should run to Hyunjin and hug him, being relived that he was fine. Or just walk up to him and punch the hell out of him since he literally betrayed you the whole time. Acted like he was somebody else and hiding his true self from you.

As the time went by, you thought that neither the hugging-idea nor the punching- idea would really work. Didn't Seungmin tell you that he was pissed? Hugging or slapping him would not make it better... especially when he was a gang member.

But why is HE pissed?, you suddenly thought, what right does he take? He betrayed ME over years! How is he supposed to be angry at me?

This thought randomly popped up in your mind but as you thought about it more, it also got you more and more angry than you already have been at him.

"You good? You look like you're going to murder someone- or well, Hyunjin, haha...", Seungmin mocked from his seat.

What the f**k?

Did he just say that?!

"Watch out or else you'll be my first victim" your tongue slipped at him. Well, you had to admit that this probably wasn't the best response you could've given, but your madness....

well- made your tongue slip a bit.

Seungmin on the other hand just smirked at your response.

"I would love to see you try but sadly have to tell you that we're here", he said and pointed outside.

We're already there?!, you really did not notice anything while drowning in your thoughts.

But with that you also panicked a bit. What the heck should you say to Hyunjin? How should you even face him?!

Seungmin somehow seemed to read the panic and helplessness in your eyes and looked at you.

"Just a hint; you should probably not yell at him, he seemed quite pissed on the phone"

Here we go again.

But why would HE be pissed? God, he has no right, I am supposed to be pissed!

"Well yes but think he wanted to keep you out of it all, you know? Gang stuff is quite dangerous and now you fell right into it. But over all- Hyunjin is Hyunjin and that man has a complicated ass"

You didn't know that you were thinking out loud and when Seungmin answered, a wave of embarrassment swapped over you. Still, when he talked about Hyunjins dramatic ass, you had to smirk.

Seungmin looked at his clock.

"Let's go"

Inhaling deep for one last time, you opened the car door and looked around.

Seemed like a normal city, traffic, a lot of (drunk) people and the usual lights. Even the hotel seemed like a normal (hella expensive) one.

What you expected? Well, you were not sure yourself.

Maybe an old storage hall with broken windows?

Actually anything but not a normal city.

Without wanting to waste more time, Seungmin walked inside and instead of going to the reception, he directly walked to the elevator. The pressed the button for the 9th floor and when you both arrived there, he stopped in front of room 402.

You waited for him to knock but instead he handed you a key card.

"I'll leave you two. You know the options, he either kills you or gets you involved in the whole gang business by bringing you to our boss, Chan. Or he pulls of some weird hero actions thinking he could protect you like this, which will eventually lead to you both getting killed", he said all this in a normal conversation tone, as if he would've never mentioned you being in a risk to get killed.

"But enough talking. I wish you the best, see you in a few days or... well, goodbye y/n was nice meeting you", he said and waved at you before he made his way to

the elevator.

You were completely speechless. Did he just With your mouth open, you watched him until the elevator doors closed. Then you turned back to the door.

Should I just run away?

Nah not clever, they're a gang... they would probably catch me after a few hours.

But now what? You actually got an idea.

Since Hyunjin was after all still your boyfriend, you didn't really wanted to loose him. Yes, your life changed 360 degrees in the last 24 hours, but that did

not change the fact that you still loved him..

So maybe you'd just start talking. Telling him how you felt about it, asking him why he kept all this from you, assuring him that you'd stay with him.

Calm and professional.

Sounded like a plan, and by that, you unlocked the door.

When you come into the room- of better said, the suite- you got quite caught off guard. High ceilings, big rooms, an own living room to your left, while on your right was an impressive big bathroom.

But when you looked what was right in front of you, you stopped in your tracks. And it was not the king size bed or the amazing view over the city you had by looking out of the windows that caught your attention... but the person that was sitting on it.

Hyunjin was sitting on the bed with his back facing you. He seemed to look out of the window.

You really had to admit, the nervousness was swapping over you like a massive wave but still... you had a plan.

The moment you finally got yourself together and opened your mouth you closed it right away.

Something caught your attention.

A gun on the table right next to him.

And if that wasn't enough, right the moment you noticed the gun, Hyunjin turned around and looked at you.

You knew your plan had come to an end.

The look he gave you, the emotions in his eyes... you were able to read it immediately. And it got you scared for your life.
