“Malani, we will be pulling onto the coven lands in five minutes.” I hear Florin in my ear earpiece. I’m in the second vehicle of our five-car caravan. Florin leads with his clergy elder. We are all assigned one member of the clergy. Our fighting skills have kept them safe for the entire six years I have worked alongside them. Florin has a deep Romanian accent. He is a full vampire and a descendant of the previous group of elders.
Bodgan and Zina are in the next two vehicles with their assigned elder. Then the last car is full of other warriors. Bogdan is a vampire-bear hybrid. Zina is a vampire and siren. We all bring a different skill set to the table.
We have had to kill for our spot. Our same spot we have to fight to hold onto. We have to reapply with battle every few years
