Under the Same Sky

281 Words
Luna sat by the window every night, staring at the stars above her quiet town. Ever since her childhood, she found comfort in knowing that someone, somewhere, might be looking at the same sky. One evening, while scrolling through an online photography forum, she saw a picture of the exact same constellation she admired each night — posted by a user named “OrionDreamer.” Intrigued, she left a comment: > “That’s my favorite constellation too. Funny how the stars look the same, no matter where you are.” A few minutes later, he replied, > “Maybe we’re both looking at them right now.” They began talking — first about stars, then about life. Luna learned his name was Kai, a traveler who captured skies from different corners of the world. Their messages became longer, warmer, deeper. They spoke until dawn, sharing dreams, fears, and quiet hopes. Months passed. One night, Kai messaged her, > “I’ll be in your city next week. Would you like to see the stars together — for real this time?” Her heart raced. When they finally met at the park hill, the world seemed to pause. The same sky stretched above them, endless and bright. He smiled, holding out a hand. > “So, this is where your stars live.” She laughed softly. > “And this is where mine found you.” They lay side by side, watching the constellations they once shared through screens. The distance that once separated them was gone — only the stars, and two hearts that finally aligned. And that night, under the same sky that first connected them, love quietly began its story.
