Chapter 5 Making Up

We arrive at the Baron's Academy in the Afternoon. While inside the car, I can hear radio chatter about an abandon building destroy from Black 6 and the rest of the soldier. They are currently helping the firefighter by controlling a large crowd of on lookers. We step out of the car and head to the lecture's office.

While on the way to the office, I heard a rumbling sound from behind. I turn myself to see who made the rumbling.

A woman's figure can be seen rushing towards me at great speed. All of a sudden, she jumps and does a flying kick to my face. I receive the hit and was flying to the air before hitting a wall.

“You... Asshole!!!” She screams.

“Because of your call, I was laughed off. Do you know how embarrassing it is?”

“You better fix this... You asshole!!”

I look in her direction and saw her angry face.

“Sorry, it wasn't intentional.” I told her.

A woman runs to her side panting.

“Eltia, what's the matter?” She gasps.

She turns her gaze towards me who is on the floor. It was Valeri, Eltia's friends.

“Oh Invo, you've arrived.” She told me.

I stood up and walks towards them. Adonis who is beside them just looks at me with a smile on his face. Damn that guy!

“Good Afternoon, Eltia how was your day?” He asks her.

“bad like really bad. In fact, it is actually the worst day possible.” She said with anger in her voice.

“Well, I'm sorry it had to be like this. We're on our way to meet with the Old Man.” He replies to her.

“Ahh, we are also going to meet him. Why not all of us go meet him together?” Valeri asks him.

“Sure, why not.” He replies.

I shifted my gaze towards Eltia.

“Good Afternoon, Honey.” I reached out to her.

She turns her head immediately as a sign of dissatisfaction and I can hear the sound 'hmpp' when she turns her head.

We start walking towards the office, but I can feel the unpleasantness from Eltia. Urghh, I need to find a way to make up for her.

We enter the office and head towards Professor Gazzer's desk. I saw him middling with some paperwork. He turns his gaze towards us.

“Ahh, Adonis, Invo, you came...” He told us with excitement in his voice.

“Yeah, we did... So let's get going.” I told him.

“Err... Prof... The students are already gathered at the training field and are waiting for you.” Valeri told him.

“Ahh, I see... Ermm... Invo follows Eltia and Valeri to the training field. I have something to discuss with Adonis.” He told me.

“Oh... Okay... See you at the field Adonis.” I told Adonis as I pat his shoulder.

What is it that Professor Gazzer wants to discuss with him?

We exit the office and head towards the training field. As we are walking in the hallway, I remember something important that I need to tell Eltia.

“Hey, Eltia... I know you're mad at me and I'm sorry of course, but there is something important that I need to discuss with you If you don't mind?” I told her with hesitation.

They both stop their steps. Valeri's face looks worried when she faces Eltia.

“Valeri, can you go on ahead, it won't take long.” She told Valeri with a smile.

I can feel both of their worries from where I am standing.

“Okay, tell me about it later.” She replies.

She turns her body and continued to walks towards the training field. Eltia turns her back to face me.

“Well, what do you want to discuss?” She asks me with anger.

“Can we discuss this in private?” I ask her.

“Follow me, my class is on this way, and no one is there right now.” She told me.

“Oh... Okay... Lead the way.” I reply to her.

She turns her body and starts walking towards her classroom. I follow her from behind. We enter the classroom and I close the door behind me.

I turn my turns my face and look at her. She is still angry.

Maybe if I kiss her, it might work, right? I mean kissing always works, right?

Fill with uncertainties, I walk towards her and try to kiss her soft lips, but she immediately, push me away.

“Hey! We are in a school! If the other lectures saw we are kissing each other, I might be in trouble!” She shouts at me.

“Argghhhh... Sorry....” I apologize quickly.

“Plus I'm still angry.” She shifted her gaze away from me. She then looks back at me again.

“So? What do you want to talk about?” She asks me.

I took a heavy breath before exhaling and take out a letter and gave it to Eltia. Eltia takes the letter from my hand and opens it. She began to read the content of the letter and then turns her face towards me with shock.

“This is...” She stuttered.

“Yes... It's a letter of deployment.”

“I'll leave in 2 weeks, and you're the first person I want to tell.” I told her.

“Does Adonis know?” she asked.

“He already did because he was in the room when I received the letter. He also received a letter, but I don't know the content of it. Commander Erik also said that he needs to meet a certain someone.” I told her.

“Then... That means you two aren't around to watch me fight.” She said, with tears began to flow.

“Don't cry, the contest is in 3 months, I'll make sure to finish the mission before that.” I reassure her.

“Will you be okay? I mean there are many monsters on that land.”

“Don't worry, I'll be fine.”

“Promise me you'll be safe.” she cried at me.

She runs towards me and hugs me tightly. I hug her back. I love this woman.

“I promise, I'll be back before you know it.” I reassured her.

I lean towards her and kiss her forehead.

I took a napkin from my pocket and handed it to her. She takes the napkin and wipes her tears.

“Are you still mad at me?” I ask her.

“I'm mad, anxious, worried, and sad.” She shouts at me.

Is today her coming of the month?

“I'll make sure to make it up to you, by helping your classmates and shows how amazing her boyfriend is.” I told her with confidence.

“Okay, but don't get yourself injured or carried away.” She told me.

“Okay.” I told her.

I walk towards the exits. Suddenly, my hands are being grabbed and push back towards her. I turn my face towards her, and she kissed my lips. She takes a few steps backward and began walking towards the exit.

I was fazed by that, and it took me a while before realizing that she already exits the classroom. I exit the room and rush towards her. We walk side by side heading towards the training field.

I watch Invo and the others exit the room from my desk and then I shifted my gazed towards the man who is in front of me. Adonis Taylor.

An observant person, smart, very reliable, and the inventor of his dual affinity guns. The first person who has mana illness that claims the top 10 in his class. Now a soldier of the Baron Kingdom and one of its finest.

Today, I am not here to praise him. Instead, I want him to help me with something.

“So, what do you want to discuss?” He asks me with an unpleasant voice.

“Do you receive a letter?” I ask him with a smile.

He looks unfazed when I brought about the letter, but I know deep down he was surprised by it.

“Are you that 'person'?” he asks me with a stern look.

“Probably? Who knows. Maybe I am? Maybe I'm not?” I playfully replied to that question.

He looks displeased with that answer. I can tell that he is very annoyed by it but by the looks of it, he tries to hide it.

“Well, I'll be on my way to the training field, if you don't have anything to tell me.” He said.

He turns his body and began to walk towards the exits.

“Are you sure? You don't want to know?”

He then stops his steps and turns his head towards me. He looks at me for a while before turning back his head back.

“Don't worry, I already know where to meet him.” he said.

“Oh? How do you know?” I ask him playfully.

“By just looking at your face.”

Ahh, there's the Adonis I know, by just slightly looking at my face he can already tell where he will meet him. Bravo, Adonis, you made your master proud.

I made a smile on my face with satisfaction.

“I will tell him that you agreed to meet him.”

“Don't worry, I think he already knew.” he replied.

He takes his steps and walks towards the exits.

Well, then I think it is time for me to meet with the students and continue where I left off. It will be an interesting lesson for her and her classmates.

I stood up and exits the office. I walk along the hallway and turn my gaze toward the sky. The sky is bluer than usual. I continue to walk along the hallway and towards the training field.
