Chapter fourteen :A Day With Her..

Becky’s POV

After that event,we hardly you ever say a word to each other,which means we haven’t argued for days which was the only source communication between us. ‘Good news’ Andy and Mathew are currently dating,and as for my arm is still not moving and I am asked to come to the hospital today,thank Goodness it’s Saturday Andy won’t be going to work so we will have the whole day to ourselves,the sound of me not doing anything makes me feel jobless,thank Goodness for my small boutique business,it not actually small,it’s one of the most expensive boutique in A city,not every one knows i own it,so I have been busy with that for the now.

“Can you get ready on time we have to get to the hospital on time” a voice said behind me,I turned back and saw Gabriel putting on his wrist watch.he looked handsome,his face was calm,he look less stressed,and innocent,how I wish he was the man of my dreams,his voice sometimes makes me feel this warmth inside me,the only time i get to feel his touch,is when he gives my arm a massage,which makes me blush,I’ve tried several times not to blush but all to no avail.Holy God help me,why am I thinking of him this way,Argh!.

“I will go,when am done”replied quickly turning away from him.

“Didn’t you hear me when i said ‘WE’?”he asked raising his head,I didn’t want look at him as I could already feel his eyes on my back.

“I don’t have any problem with that,but I already have plans for today”i replied parking my books out of the bed.

“And isn’t going to the hospital is not one of the plans,besides i also have plans for tonight so don’t keep me waiting”with that he left the room,though his voice was calm,his words were cold,if he is not interested in taking me to the hospital he can go relax,I didn’t ask him to.

After staying inside the room for almost three hours,the door was opened,I peeped from the dress room to see who it was,since it was weekend no staff was around so it would be no body else except him.I was right Gabriel was walking towards me with some kind of impatience look on his face.

“What is keeping you here?” he asked looking straight into my eyes,honestly if I was in a different situation I would want to nag,but not haft dressed.

“I..i..can’t reach the zip,and I can’t do the ropes on the shoe that I want to wear”I answered expecting him say something like ‘then look for something simple to wear’,but no what he did next shock me. He pushed in me back inside and zipped my dress,sat me down,and carefully took my leg,

“So which shoe?”he ask,i saw the shock on his face when he looked around the room,Yeah,I do shopping every time so my clothes-set is filled with different types of clothes,but few colors,my favorite color is black and brown.And there lots of James trousers,lots.

“Ahem!...”I coughed to get his attention

“This one”i said pointing at a white rope sandal since i was wearing a black dress.

“Since you have lots of shoes can’t you find an easy one”he asked diverting his eyes to sandals

“No!,this is the one i want to wear”I replied like a stubborn child who wants an ice cream.to my surprise he just took the sandals and started to tie them,if I was to do it myself,I would have done the ‘X’(cross)style,tsk tsk now he is just doing some style I don’t know were he got the idea from,truth be told,it was beautiful.it looked like he always help Summer with her shoes,cause it took him no time to finish it,I wouldn’t help not been jealous.

“I have never done any woman’s shoes before,so don’t think much”he said giving me a white bag,and winked before leaving.Did he just read my thoughts?,I didn’t say it out did I?.oh how embarrassing,I said slapping my face before leaving the room.

As we came out of the hospital,I received a call from Andy asking me to come join them at the park.

“Gabby,you can go now,Andy asked me to join her at the park”I informed not looking at him,when didn’t get any response,i turned to see him shooting glare at me.

“What?”I asked innocently

“Are you so eager to stay away from me.....I mean I’m coming with you,you might hurt yourself why doing some childish stuff”he replied,I was startled at his lame excuse.

“You don’t have you to worry,my cousin will also be there”I said faking my arrogance,I really want to see how protective he would be,or he is acting as well.

“Ok then,at least I will get to meet him”he replied smiling.seriously is he okay?.

Gabriel’s POV

Taking her to the hospital was...What is the word again? that feeling you feel when you’re receiving an trophy,I felt it,though we didn’t talk throughout the ride but I was grateful for having her having a ride with me,you need to see the look other men gave her when we arrived at the hospital,most single doctors were ogling at her,I don’t know,but I felt this pride in me for having her beside me.

The doctor requested her to double the pressure in raising the arm but also careful not to danger her health,we’ve left the hospital and now heading to the park,I saw the surprise look on her face when I told her that am coming along,how can she be so desperate to stay away from me,actually I’ve two...three reasons for going with her,first;to see this her ‘cousin’,secondly to protect her in any kind of dangers at the park and lastly which is the most important reason,is to stay behind her and stop any man from talking to her,hope am not been stupid,because if you ask me this I the first time I am going to park after three years,it’s has aways been from party to party with summer,she considered going to park or movies an amateur act.

“Gabriel we are grown up,all grown up do is party not watching movies,but shopping for the next party,instead of playing at the park,we have evening events with friends”that’s what summer told me the day I requested us to go to the park.

Now we’ve reached,I came down and opened the door for her,she just murmured a thanks

“If you don’t feel like saying anything,then just stay quiet instead for taking through close teeth”I replied shrugging,she wanted to say something when she was stop by someone calling her name

“Becky,you’re late”.i turned around and saw a good looking man behind me,I gradually stepped backwards so as to stand closer to Becky who was now smiling

she knows how to smile,I thought the least she could do was smirk.Her smiles are charming I didn’t know how long I’ve been looking at her with admiration but I was brought back to life when I heard she referring to me as her husband,I felt guilty,I have never introduced her as some one,not even to Mathew and James,but here she is referring to me as her husband,I looked at the guy in front of me,he was smiling too

“Hi am jack Bills”jack introduced

“I am....”

“I already know,mr Gabriel”he replied smartly shaking hands.Honestly he is great,I like him.we walked towards a couple,it was Mathew and Andy,Mathew didn’t tell me anything about it,how can he We’re having a rough time in our friendship,him and James has been talking to me less these days ever since that argument that happened at the hospital.

“Gabriel What’s up?,you’re here?”Mathew asked giving me that quizzed look,I choose to ignore it

“Yeah we are actually coming from the hospital”I replied stressing the word ‘we’ so that he knows that I have been with her since morning,what a pride right?.

“Really,that’s good to hear,so why don’t we have lunch first before going for some horse ride,what say Becky?”Andy asked

“Sure I was going to say that,am famished,and tired,I can’t even walk...can you please Gabby get me something to eat?”Becky requests casually,but i didn’t missed the smirk she gave,what is she driving at?

“Yeah you ladies stay here while we go get the food”Jack said,his girl friend was also there.

“What was that?Gabby?”i heard Andy asked

“What?,he requested to join us so”that was Becky’s response,so she is going to let me do her silly request,well if you ask me,it’s an honor.

We returned with the food,honestly it turns out that I was the one enjoying the fun,it been so long I played like this,always on my boss mode which makes other feel intimidated but not my Becky.

Since When did did she become mine ?,hope I am not going too far this time,and what if I am,she is my wife,so I have every right to call her mine.

The girls were now having fun of their own,we the guys decided to have some drinks,I was focusing on Becky watching her every moves when I had jack said something but didn’t get him.

“Am sorry,?”I asked

“Ha ha man,you have been looking at her like you just saw her for the first time”Jack said laughing,I didn’t know I was looking at her that much.

“So you didn’t fight today?”Mathew asked sipping his coffee

“No....there’s time for everything,besides she always starts it”I said turning to face the boys

“Umm,you don’t know her,she is lovingly,but Tsk tsk,when is it comes to arrogance she has it all”Jack said.

“The weeks I’ve known her,she is great,it will be perfect if you two just agree to make this marriage works”Mathew added.

“Really!works? she sometimes feels disgusted by Just seeing me,moreover she is not easy to talk to,let alone reason things with her.”I replied looking back at her,she is now jugging towards us.

“So Jack,that’s your girl right?”Becky asked as she joined us

“Yeah,isn’t she the total opposite of you?”jack sneer

“Yeah,she is so quiet and understanding,all she does is listen,i like her.Is that why you like her too?”Becky asked drinking my coffee unknowingly.

“Yep she is good and easy going person,she’s always ready to listen,as long as you have something to say,above all she is very calm Becky”Jack replied looking back at the two ladies behind,his eyes were actually on his girl friend,Jennifer.

“I see...”Becky replied taking another sip from the coffee,-‘my coffee’-

“Next time don’t add milk to my coffee,i prefer more sugar.”she said looking at me.

“It’s actually my coffee,I didn’t get any for you”I replied waiting for her response but she just nod her head and continued sipping. ‘So we’re not going to talk about this,thank Goodness’I told myself.

“So you two didn’t fight today?”Andy asked as she and Jennifer joined the table.I looked at Becky to see her reaction,but her face was calm,do you think that’s a good thing?.

“Yeah it seems you two are getting along”Mathew added,we are waiting for her response.

“Are we getting along Gabby?,cause if you ask me,it’s a No,besides don’t concluded yet we still have few more hours to complete this day”she replied dropping the empty waste cup.

“Honestly Gabriel how you do cope with her? With all these attitude,how are you two still staying in the same house?”jack asked.I just kept quiet waiting for her to Answer it herself.

“Do we stay in the same house Gabby? yeah forget the ‘the same house’ are we really staying together?”Becky asked raising her eyebrows.

“I don’t think we should do this right now Okay”I replied calmly.

“Yes exactly why am saying,I don’t think we should do this,so answer the question”Becky said sitting properly to face me

“Besides you spend most of the day with summer,so we don’t stay the same house,besides she is the love of your heart while I am the second woman between you two,honestly I don’t blame you,if my parents hasn’t done all this i wouldn’t have meant you,and my arm wouldn’t have been paralyzed let alone be in this mess,and what did you say the other night...oh Summer never complains,so sorry mister you have to get a nagging woman for a wife”Becky with face her turning red out of anger.

“Why do you have to drag summer into this now?”I asked sitting up

“Why won’t i?,she is the main reason for all this......now I see why Andy refers men to be disgusting”she answered back a little louder.

With that word we all turned to look at Andy who’s eyes are now out.

“What is wrong with you Becky,can’t you let bygones be bygones”Andy asked.

“What?its the truth”she snapped

“I think I have heard enough for today,can we go home now”Jennifer spoke out for the first time,we all were just looking from her to Becky.

“You want to go home,fine then leave...you see this men here.....”Becky said pointing at the three of us;the guys.

“They don’t care,once you stand from that sit another girl is replacing you,don’t give me that look..I’m talking from experience,right Gabby?”She concludes sneering at me.why do we have to talk all this now?.

“Becky I think you should control your mouth right now,for God-sakes Gabriel is your husband,you should mind the way you talk to him in public”Andy replied angrily

“Yes,as if he respected me in private,were you all not there when he brings summer home anytime of the day”Becky replied folding her hands

“Honestly What is your problem,why can’t you say a thing that has nothing to do with summer,why her?you always look for excuse just to insult her,and she didn’t even done anything to you,she didn’t even complain when my parents chose you over her,she didn’t complain when you accused her of poisoning the cake,the other day you threatened her,instead she still kept quiet,what is it with you?”I asked getting fed up of the way she complained.She just gave me this cold look before turning her face .The whole table was dead silence

“I want to go home”she finally said getting up to leave.

“Am coming” I said walking behind her after bidding farewell to the rest.

“There’s no need,just go to summer who doesn’t complains”she replied dryly

“Can you just stop” i yelled a little,she is becoming irritating.
