Chapter fifteen:the family dinner.

Becky’s POV

Felt disappointed when Gabriel kept defending Summer,I have done some investigations concerning the cake and proof that summer poisoned the cake,I chose not to release it yet so as to see how far Gabriel would keep defending her.

As me and Gabriel we haven’t spoken since that day,he hardly stays at home,some how,I’m unhappy with this New development,he even stopped staying in the Same room,for the past few days I have been busy doing nothing but just taking care of the garden that I just started,it’s a flower garden,the yard is filled with different kinds of flowers,I intend to start a perfume business as soon as I gets better.I am still trying to use the hand but it totally useless so i gave up,so I guess I have to wait for God’s time.

Andy and I have reduced from chatting every day to once in a while,she called it ‘space’ saying we should set things right between our selves,:saying that the word I said at the park would have ruined her chance with Mathew.Honestly if not for her good heart I don’t have anything to do with someone who change her mouth every now and then.

I was chatting with maids when I received a text message from an unknown number.

‘Get ready at 6pm we’re going to have a family dinner tonight at my parents place’

Oh!,so it’s from Gabriel,he couldn’t even call,ha ha can you imagine that I just realized that I don’t have his contact,this is the third month of my wedding and I don’t know the contact of my so called husband,what a fascinating creature I’m.

It was 4:30pm so I decided to go get ready,I don’t know why I feel like I’m missing something or should i say someone,I don’t know but I guess it’s someone,Gabriel didn’t sleep the house for two days and now he just texted me to get ready and I’m actually doing just that.I What the hell did he take me for?.

I was ready at 6:15pm,it not my intention,I just can’t keep up with time,if it’s been set so I always come late.when I was ready Samson took me to the house,it was the same house used for the engagement party,this time I got enough chance to look around,it wasn’t a house but a villa,the entrance was so wide that it can contain more than twenty people.there was flowers everywhere with different fragrance and colors,the smell was good the each time I breathe in I unknowingly smiled until we reached the door,it was opened by a door man and Samson lead the way to where the rest of the family were sitting,that was twice bigger than that of ours,I mean my family house.To crown it all the villa was like a castle painted golden color.This night I wore a white knee length skirt and a red bottomed shirt,but i left two bottoms undone so my cleavage could be seen,but I didn’t do it for him so don’t think yourself out.

“Ha Ah Becky you’re here,you came just early”mr Brown said as he and his wife gave me a hug.

“I thought I came late?”I asked trying not to look surprised.

“No dear,it seems you’re bored at home,why don’t you come here often so as to while away some time with Suzan”Mrs Brown said looking at the sitting room,I followed her directions and found a young girl probably in her early twenties.22 I guess was just busy with phone not caring if someone was in the house,ohhh why would she care?she is the same girl Gabriel was holding her hand at the engagement party,she didn’t attend the wedding though,who is she?.

“Suzan,won’t you say hello to your sister-in-law”Mrs Brown called out,the girl just gave me an irrelevant look and turned back to her phone.

“Don’t mind her she is just like that,but when you get to know her she is very homily hm”Mrs Brown Said as we walked towards the table,I don’t really want to sit right now,I have been sitting all day.

“Mom can I just walk around for some time,before dinner starts?”I requested,she just smiled at me nodding her head in yes.

I wondered around the house i didn’t know where and how i got to this place,it’s a glass house filled with flowers,instantly smiles came to my face,I sniff each and every one my one hand could reach,i also took few photos of them,it was like a dream garden for me.After been Satisfying with what I have seen I decided to go back but which way did I come through,don’t tell me that I’m lost?,suddenly silly thoughts creep into my head ‘what if you’re missing,just like Alice in the wonder land,No!like Oz the great magician.’ I couldn’t help laughing at my own thoughts,really Becky you of all people would get missing? No way!.since there were four different doors leading to where I am about to find out.they were two doors on the left and same on the right.So instead of family dinner I’m here doing some adventure of how to leave this place Wow Becky wow!,I took the first door in the left and it leads to a pool designed like a stream,I spent some time exploring the place,taking photos before going back to the second door which leads to a beautiful green field with butterflies of different colors,I also took some photos and run after some butterflies before returning to the flowers garden,honestly this place is like a magical land,or should I say a dream land it has everything you could ever imagine in your dreams.now I took the first door of the right hand and it leads back to the villa,if this door leads back to the villa then which place would that last door lead to? I asked myself when I reached the compound,I saw the securities searching every where including the female servant,what are they looking for?.

“Excuse me sir,what happened what are you all looking for”I asked the man who seems to be so kin on searching for something,he just asked me not to worry that he got everything under control.If everything is under control then what are they looking for.Just then my phone starts to ring,it was Gabriel,what does he want now?,he asked me to come by 6pm main while the correct time was 7pm.

7pm Becky!,i checked the time it was 7:20pm,Becky are they looking for you?

“Sir sorry ,is Gabriel back?”I asked running after the man who has gone a little distance away from me.just then I was pulled back with force and hit my head on something a strong,I looked up to see Gabriel’s angry mixed with worried looking face.

“Where are you running to?”he asked In gritted teeth

“I was going after that security that’s all”I replied not understanding what is happening.With out saying another word he kept dragging me back to the hall were mr and Mrs Brown were all standing looking worried,some security guards were also standing facing down.

“Ha thanks to God,they found you,what would we have say if you’re truly missing”Mrs Brown said giving me a hug while her husband kept petting my head like some kid who just got found,Off course to them I was just found.

“Mom i Just got a lost in the garden,and there was four doors so I had to try each one”i reply childishly,soon they all burst into laughter,even Gabriel the demon was laughing,really?what’s so funny?and that too Suzan the demon sister was chuckling.

“It’s not funny,but fun,I get to take so much photos...see”I said showing then the photos,Suzan was the obsessed with ones I took at the pool,she also makes plans on doing some photos shots there tomorrow.

“I see,i bet it was adventurous too”Gabriel said as we walked towards the table,it was more like a royal banquet.

Gabriel pull out a chair for me,I took it as a help because of my arm.Now this is where the problem was,how am I supposed to eat with my left arm?,with that question Gabriel did the unexpected,I couldn’t hide my shock,he served the food in one dish,he was going to join me,probably feed me.

“What?,are you shy that he’s going feed you in public”Suzan sneered.Wow she is a shifting snake,just now she was happy with me,or should I say jealous.i will take my time on her.

“No just that ever since this incident I have a girl who help with things like this”I replied shrugging.

“Gabriel,is that true that you haven’t been taking care of her feeding”mr Brown ask in a serious voice.

“It’s not a big deal,you shouldn’t get serious with it”I replied trying to calm him down.

“Honestly Dad I really want to help her out,but the question should be,would she let me?”Gabriel defended him self,while looking at me.

“At least if you really wanted,you would have asked or rather try”I replied putting a haft spoon of curried rice inside my mouth,not minding the glares he was giving me,I tried putting another spoon when it was collected from my hand,

“Will you let me try now?”he asked calmly,do I have choices than to let him,actually i have a choice,but I can’t do that in front of his parents.As we were haft way through the meal then an unexpected hits me.

“What happened to you?”Mrs Brown ask worried,I checked all over my opened body but didn’t find anything.

“No i mean,your toe nails”she added.Good God I didn’t know that I’m sitting with people who has hawk eyes,l slowly look at the injury on my toe nails.ah,Wow of me to wear and open sandals.

“It nothing to worry about,at least am not limping”I replied dryly not knowing what to say.

“Let me see”Gabriel said taking my leg upon his,his hands touching my bare skin did no good,I flinched a little as I gripped the chair cloth.

“Don’t tell me you don’t know what happened to her?”Mrs Brown asked

“I don’t Mom,I have been in the office for two days now,their is a lot I need to put in order these days”He answered still checking the injury,I tried taking my leg back but He didn’t let go.

“How do it happen”he asked,I can’t tell if he really cared all he is just acting caring in the presence of this parents.

“I was trying to take a glass of water from the with my right arm,so it fell and I mistakenly stepped on it”i explain,wanting to know how his reaction would be,so I fix my eyes on him,he frown why dropping the leg.

“ you’re so careless,what were you thinking?the doctor said not to push yourself unnecessarily”he replied angrily

“Hey it my foot not yours,and besides I have applied first aid on it so what is the big deal?”I asked getting annoyed with is attitude.

“Okay then just remind me to apply some drugs on it before going to sleep”he said getting up from the table.

We left the villa and went home in one car Samson would bring the other one along.on getting home I quickly rushed to my room and shut the door.

I heard knocks at the door,I kept quiet hoping he would think that I’m asleep but he just kept knocking,since I can’t sleep in this noise,decided to play some a video game with my phone,after ten minutes he stopped,I heard his foot steps going back until the sound was no more.

‘Bing’

A sound of message from my phone,it was Gabriel.

‘Are you done having fun with the knocks? can you please open the door now’

What fun,you’re disturbing me and you’re calling it fun,really mr Gabriel?.i got up from the couch trying to open the door walking sluggishly when I hit my injured foot on the bed Stand,I didn’t know whether to cry or Put on a cold face as he started knocking,I managed to open the door and drag him inside shutting the door back.

“What was that for?” He asked innocently,really think I should cry,he had the most handsome and innocent face ever.

“You kept knocking,making hit my hurt foot”r I replied holding back my tears.

“Did you hit your foot? See I was right,you’re so clumsy”he said trying to make me sit down on the couch. “No if you hadn’t knocked this wouldn’t have happened”I complained

“No,if you had opened the the door the first time I knocked this wouldn’t have happened”he replied more like a correction.

“Besides I asked you to remind me of the foot,instead you ran inside”he complained this time,I just kept quiet and let in do his job and leave.Which was what he did.
